I didn't read this whole thread so I don't know if this had been posted, but Tree House has started dating their cans. My Julius and Alter Ego cans both have 8/18 dates on the bottom.

It's pretty yummy. Very roasty. No hint of alcohol. THICK mouthfeel. A lot of chocolatey sweetness. A little reminiscent of TWSS, but JACKED!. It's solid for sure. Another fine contribution from Brendan.

Round of applause! Very, very well deserved. Also, this should make for a fun next release!!:rolling_eyes:

It definitely increases the trade value. The lady and I might finally make it up for a release. Looking forward to visiting these guys again, they're pumping out some great beer!

I don't want to be too much of a curmudgeon here, Tree House deserves every bit of recognition they get. And I don't want to begrudge anyone their right to stand in whatever line they want, to get whatever beer they want, for whatever purpose they want. I don't want to be the dude bitching and moaning about "traders" whenever the line at brewery X gets long, as if I have more right to the beer than they do.

All that said, it's a bit of a bummer that the state of the beer world right now is such that when someone tweaks some algorithm and all of a sudden the same database of scores produces a new "best beer in the world", which is essentially an arbitrary distinction between many superior beers, suddenly a line has to go from two hours long to six hours long.

I've never visited Tree House before, but hope to do so when I am briefly in Boston next month. Thing is, the earliest I'll probably get there is 7 pm. Do I have any chance of getting growlers or cans at that point or do they usually run out?

there wasn't a line at all last weekend to get GM. zero.

of course you could only buy 1 growler and they were selling nothing else

It should be the "current cool beer list" Something just doesn't seem right about the scoring now.
