Has anyone else found sludge in the neck of their Northern Goshawk bottle? I did and I’m unsure if it’s a QC issue or just remnants from the hazelnut.

Mine had a little sediment but with adjuncts, that's typical. Thought it was fantastic.

We’re taking some time off for Jan and part of February until the ladies bday. If anyone happens to order from NH I’d be curious to hear shipment times. When we ordered to her moms house in MA it was next day, which was pretty amazing.

Hope all you Seacoast’rs and Other NH folks score!

Has anyone had the most recent cans of DDH Stillings. It is one of my favorite NEIPAS when it is on point and I will be in Canton tomorrow. I feel like it is a gamble on their NEIPAS recently and don't want to drop 60 bucks on three 4 packs if it isn't at least an average run.

unfortunately this batch of DDH Stillings seems lackluster, overall a bit bland. Actually came to this thread to see if anyone else was talking about this. Scaled up also doesn’t seem to pop like previous batches have. Trillium has been super hit or miss for me for a few months now. That’s just one mans opinion, and maybe a little time in the can will do it well...? (There was a time where it seemed like every Trill IPA needed two weeks after release to develop)

I wonder if they’re cutting corners with beers through this quarantine, or if their QA/QC is just off. Or maybe it’s just me ‍♂️

i have the same question about DDH UC. I feel like the DDH runs can be the offenders in the astringency department. Has anyone tried?

Just cracked a can, following Stillings and Scaled up (see my above comment)... this is much better. Maybe the two previous beers lowered my expectations for DDH UC, but it’s as good as any trill IPA I’ve had in the last couple of months.

Thanks for the input- My curiosity is worth 20 bucks, but not 60. I do a dry January until my birthday later in the month, but I will report back then.

thanks for the report, both upper case and scaled up. Two beers I love(d) and was planning on buying today. But if scaled up isn’t popping I probably won’t make the trip. Too many good shelf IPAs at a better price point and predictable quality.

This x1000. Just as one example, I drove to NH today to pick up some new Stoneface releases (Imperial Rye, Oyster Stout) and a few of their flagships. Grabbed a smash burger with sweet potato fries for the road. Placed a few bets on DK and headed south. If I had more time, I would have hit a few other spots in Portsmouth (Great Rhythm, etc.) and Deciduous.

That's a great trip but I think you're being a little disingenuous about putting Stoneface and Great Rhythm in the same breath as Trillium. You might be able to convince me with Deciduous but c'mon man.

I used to be a huge Trill fan and also believe their quality has gone down hill but this is just silly

We can agree to disagree. I would put Stoneface’s portfolio up against Trillium any day of the week for the breadth and depth.

The point of my response overall was in response to @eaglephile that there is a lot of good beer out there that is more consistent and at a better price point than Trillium.

Totally agree. Stone face is a strong ‘meh’. Sure it’s cheaper, but so is bud light.
