Uerige favorite ALT???

    What is your favorite alt from Uerige? I love the Sticke, but I didn't like the dopple when I had it. Am I missing something?

    Sticke and Doppelsticke are quite different in taste, therefore you're not missing something but are stating your personal affection.

    I'm not a huge fan of the Dopplesticke. Their ganz normales Altbier is where it's at.

    This! I find the doppel is approaching barleywine territory, which I am not a fan of.

    Yes, the Doppelsticke is a lot richer and sweeter than the Sticke or their regular Altbier. As JackHorzempa mentioned, try the Schumacher Latzenbier but also when at Schumacher, make sure to try their 1838er as well. They are both delicious.
