Hello I am heading down to the Atlanta area this coming weekend. I have been there many times and will definitely hit up my usual spots (Brick Store, Leon's Full Service, Hop City), but I haven't been in a few years so just looking for suggestions more on the bar/restaurant side. I definitely have The Porter on my list to check out. Thanks
This one might help http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/suggestions-for-an-atlanta-trip.268840/ Porter is a def a must. Wrecking Bar too.
You've definitely got a good start and I'll 2nd Wrecking Bar. Argosy is one of my new favorites, great food and beer list and cool atmosphere. There's also Midway (about 1/4 mile from Argosy), I haven't been there but my friends say it's nice and the beer prices are good.
Wrecking bae has an amazing burger, too.. If you're into that sort of thing. Argosy and Midway are two other great bars to hit.
If you're headed to Hop City anyway, hit the new Krog Street Market location. In addition to the bottle shop and growler town, they have a 60-tap beer bar inside the market and several great dining options. It gets really crowded on the weekends though.
I'll give a plus 1 to Argosy. Midway you can skip IMO. Good beer list but bad atmosphere and the worst service in Atlanta
I saw Argosy's website, looks like a must stop. Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated. Also I know it is a long shot, but any Terrapin French Toast Wake N Bake still around?
