Hi ole buds. I'm going to Savannah soon and would like some recommendations for beer bars. Looking at the reviews on BA it doesn't look too promising. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
There's actually a few places that are promising. The Distillery and Crystal Beer Parlor are excellent. Quality over quantity in Savannah. Distillery is great. Crystal Beer Parlor is a great hole in the wall type place. WOB and Mellow Mushroom are fine. Plus if you drive around a bit, you can find other neighborhood pubs. No its not a beer town but there is good beer to be found. I typically hit Distillery multiple times on my trips to Savannah. Don't forget to look at their bottle selection as well. Some real hidden gems.
Can't speak to bars, but Hops and Barley is a decent store for bottles. I found 4-packs of Bomb! there for $26 last year around this time.
Coastal Empire, Southbound, Service, and Moon River are all churning out solid beers in town. Do a brewery crawl and you'll be pleased.
Green Truck, Cotton & Rye, Treylor Park, Six Pence Pub, The Ordinary Pub. Any and all of those places have good beer & great food.
