First off, I did a search and didn't come across anything.

Was talking to a fellow CA trader this weekend and he mentioned that he noticed that FedEx had charged him twice for hist last invoice. He said he spent some time on the phone and was waiting to hear back for resolution. He asked me if I checked my statements and I admitted I don't really and he urged me to. Well... just took a look tonight and I have two duplicate charges in March alone so far.... like the same exact amount one day apart or on the same day even. These are not "pending" charges but week old transactions that have gone through. Now I guess im stuck going through months of cc statements and fedex invoices, and probably have a long annoying dispute after all my research is done.

Yeah I should be keeping a closer eye on it before this but I got a lot on my plate and I trusted fedex. Plus, since it goes to a CC its not like it upset my bank balance or anything which I would notice.

Anyways, if you use fedex, keep an eye on em. :slight_frown:

Saw that thread but what happened to me is a bit different. Im not talking about an increase in the charge or a postage adjustment, rather i'm talking about actually being hit twice for the same exact invoice. Ive now gone through everything from my CC and Fedex from the last 3 months and have lined everything up. I am 100% certain I was charged twice for:

    Invoice# 4-830-85855 ($59.02) Two charges for 59.02, both on January 26th
Invoice# 4-874-55126 ($41.96) Two charges for $41.96, one on March 16th, one on March 18th.

I do a LOT of FedEx shipping between olive oil trading, my other hobbies and sending xmas presents... so it was a big pile of invoices I had to go through to get that far. Almost 2 hours of work when you include cross referencing my CC statements. Going back the three months before that will be a few more hours work, and then I anticipate an hour or two being bounced between my bank and fedex trying to get this resolved. It's a lot of hassle for $100 but its the principle of the thing.

Thanks for the heads up! Will be going over my invoices to make sure.

Yeah, I will too. Previously they billed me for someone else's shipment once but I just considered that a fluke.

This is 100% true. I've been billed for shipments I never even made, and when I contacted them, I got zero response. I cancelled my account with them this week, as this was the last straw. Fuck Fedex.

I was in Washington last year and shipped a couple boxes home, total cost was around $130. A couple weeks later I see a FedEx debit on my bank account for $400! I contacted them and they told me that they reserve the right to charge more at a later date if they see fit, and that this policy was clearly stated in the fine print at the bottom of the receipt. So yeah, fuck FedEx. I'll never use them again.

That really sucks.... but just to be clear guys, these are different issues you are having. Im not talking about adjustments to my prices im talking about being double billed for a single service. Like getting a $20 Pizza and finding out they swiped and charged your card twice for a total of $40.

Not that the above is ok, a $270 adjustment is obviously an error, but its an error of a different sort and not what I am cautioning other BAs about with this thread.

I have finished going through 6 months of invoices and it seems the only two errors are the ones mentioned above. I will be contacting FedEx tomorrow for their side of the story and will report here what resolution I get (if any)...

I know, I just wanted to add my "fuck FedEx" story. Whether it's double charging people on accident or gouging people, they suck.
