No head but an otherwise attractive tan hue. Peanut butter, peanut butter, maybe some brownie, no coconut, peanut butter. But this ain't no Peanut Brothers. The balance is off. It's way too sweet and cloying. Drinking thick. Also bonus loss of points for a very cheap to the touch label. Why does it make that noise when you touch it? With all that said, I still had a good time here.

Nice Dessert Stout! Tastes like a peanut butter chocolate fudge brownie, as advertised. Had to search pretty deep to find coconut. It makes just a shy guest appearance before getting washed away by the chocolate-pb tag team.
My verdict is it’s a nice novelty, the brewer does a good job of bringing out a balanced profile, and the syrup adjuncts don’t taste overly artificial.

A very dark pour with a lot of head.
Peanut butter on the nose and maybe a little of the brownie. The taste is a lot of peanut butter (but some of that may just be the aroma) and the brownie/fudge. A hint of stout bitterness at the end. Creamy mouth feel. I don't get the cloying sweetness others complain about. This is a very good beer. My only complaint is that it's heavy, so I think I can do only one at a sitting.

Lots of fudge for me. Fudgie, fudge in fact. Also some peanut butter and yes, coconut that gets blindsided by the fudge.

Oily, tongue-coatingly full mouthfeel. A dram of Makers Mark would be quite the experience.

Yeah, this WS PB Fusion Technique was a dense beer, second only to FLUX so far. The fudge, peanut butter, aspects just overwhelm any sense of coconut but it's an impressive big stout. ABV is so well hidden that even my wife just shouted to me from the kitchen "I think I'm buzzing on half of that can..." and she loved it. I did too. A real treat to have something from Weathered Souls, a first for me, and this was a well made stout for the big box. Awesome.

L - Deep black with a mahogany head for minutes on end. Syrupy (not FLUX-like, but still).... first sign of impending doom.
S - Nose full of brownie/peanut butter fudge, as advertised, not sure I pick up on coconut. They could have told me almonds, or pistachios, and I would have believed it. The Choco-PB aspects simply overwhelm any -nut impression other than peanut but you get the faintest whiff and taste of it after it warms.
T - Had to let this warm a good 35-45 minutes to about 57F to get the full-on sweet assault of fudge brownie, more PB (not Reese's though like the Peanut Brother), and a tad of something else (I guess coconut). It's tasty - sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Solid, I like this.
F - Dense mouthfeel, but hides the alcohol of 11.5 pretty damn well actually. This is a well made if rather cumbersome layered stout. Glad it was in the box, though, as I don't usually buy or drink beers like this. A sensory explosion.
O - A very solid stout, maybe not as complex as some, but hard to manage this ABV with any grace.

Time for another BIG STOUTS beer! Watching the Super Bowl seemed like I needed to have a big SUPER beer. So Im going with the Weathered Souls PB Stout.

    onto my review:
Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my snifter. No date stamp on the can.
The beer pours a rich black coffee color with no light passing through when I hold it to the light.
Creamy tan head of 1 cm foams up and fades to a sturdy surface covering. This covering sits around throughout the sampling. Leaves scattered lattice as I drink the beer and I also get dark brown sticky legs like a merlot would have.
Aroma is peanuts, but roasted husky shell peanut and some rich chocolate notes with a bit of dark chocolate fudge. I cant find the coconut here, but the husky peanuts and fudge are rich and dominant.

First sip reveals a medium to thick body and gentle soft carbonation. Beer feels soft on my palate and does leave a bit of sticky feel on my lips after each sip. Also does coat and linger after each sip.
Flavor is roasted malts and some fudge chocolate brownie mixing with some husky peanut notes. Finishes with brownie fudge that lingers after each sip. I dont get the coconut and I also dont get any hops nor any booze on this beer. Its a very enjoyable peanut stout. Glad to have tried this one and Id buy this one again.

Pours a perfectly, pure black with a creamy dark tan head that lingers throughout the drink and provides a surprising amount of lacing that isn’t typically seen in these big impy stouts. Gorgeous beer.

The nose is led by peanut butter and chocolate fudge. I can stop there, though there is some roasty char and no discernible coconut, but let’s be perfectly clear - this is all about the PB and the chocolate fudge. Sign me up.

The peanut butter leads the taste (note: I’m partial to PB, irrationally so), withe the chocolate fudge following and a nice roasty char for balance. I still get no coconut, but quite frankly, I don’t care - this is a peanut butter cup smashed into a fudge brownie, then dunked into an imperial stout.

I could drink this for DAYS.

The mouthfeel is rich and creamy, perfect for this big beer. I wish I could buy a case of this. World class, IMHO.

L: Poured midnight black and left little head
A: Coffee, espresso, and only because of the name, I think I got a whiff of peanut butter
T: Chocolate, peanut butter, coffee up front with dark bitter chocolate in the middle and finishing with some nice warm alcohol
B: Thick, velvety and oily. Almost like chocolate mousse
O: Super sweet and thick. I could see people saying this is cloying but was an awesome dessert beer after dinner

I am about half way through the box (well behind the rest of you!) and note that there are several more peanut butter adjunct beers to go. As I am not a fan of super sweet pastry stouts, I like the way this one tip-toed to the edge but held back. Sure, its sweet but this beer also reminds you that the base beer is a stout. I am partial to coconut (but have had mixed experiences with coconut as an adjunct) and this beer waited until the very end of the flavor profile to add just a touch of coconut flavor - a nice touch.

Think, black and inky looking, big brown head and some nice lacing. Smells like a peanut flavored candy my Gramma had in her candy dish, with a hint of fudge in the background. Taste like artificially flavored candy, a bit of peanut shell and some chocolate. Smooth creamy mouthfeel, carbonation good for the style. I would love to try the base without all the added junque. For the most part, this was a disaster.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark amber + dark cola brown + dark chestnut brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall creamy foamy dark mocha colored head that slowly reduces to a large patch of medium thick film covering approximately 55% of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of rich chocolate fudge + brownies over the top of moderate aromas of roasted + dark + chocolate + caramel malts with slightly stronger than moderate aromas of lactose sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of peanut butter + coconut.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of roasted + dark + chocolate + caramel malts with slightly stronger than moderate aromas of lactose sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of peanut butter + coconut. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of rich chocolate fudge + brownies. Light amounts of roasty bitterness underneath and light lingering flavors of chocolate fudge brownie with hints of peanut butter + coconut.

M: Full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Creamy with a slight amount of oiliness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a very pleasantly rich full creamy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable with a well constructed underlying roasty malt base balancing out the sweetness from the fudge + brownie - the coconut + peanut butter are subtle and complementary.

I hate peanut butter beers, but this was excellent.
