Pours dark like black coffee with no head. Aroma is sweet of coconut and chocolate. Taste is sweet of coconut and hint of chocolate with a hint of peanut butter. Feel is smooth and silky. Sweetness grows with warmth. Overall, a very good beer maybe a little too sweet.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours nearly black, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin dark chocolate head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, peanut butter, milk chocolate and fudge. Flavor is dark toasted malt, fudge, toasted coconut, vanilla and a touch of caramel. Peanut butter cup finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. A rich, quite dark imperial stout with excellent peanut butter character and great chocolate notes. A bit on the sweet side, but well within my taste parameters and not cloying like a lot of pastry stouts seem to get. Nice balance of fudge and peanuts and a well covered ABV. Very attractive dark color and good mouth feel. I've been impressed by all the stouts from this brewery. I don't want to live in Texas again, but this brewery would be a reason to visit. The last can of the Extreme Beer Stout box and one of the great ones.

Highly viscous, leaving trails in the chalice. As close to black as any beer I've seen. Smell is peanut butter and fudge, as advertised. Astoundingly sweet, followed by the alcohol numbing your tongue. The taste is simply candy, or to be more specific, like drinkings chocolate syrup meant to pour on your sundae. Stunningly over-flavored with the candy and peanuts. It's not exactly repellent, but certainly undrinkable after a few sips. From the 16 oz can. I think this needs a special warning on the label.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark amber + dark cola brown + dark chestnut brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall creamy foamy dark mocha colored head that slowly reduces to a large patch of medium thick film covering approximately 55% of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of rich chocolate fudge + brownies over the top of moderate aromas of roasted + dark + chocolate + caramel malts with slightly stronger than moderate aromas of lactose sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of peanut butter + coconut.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of roasted + dark + chocolate + caramel malts with slightly stronger than moderate aromas of lactose sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of peanut butter + coconut. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of rich chocolate fudge + brownies. Light amounts of roasty bitterness underneath and light lingering flavors of chocolate fudge brownie with hints of peanut butter + coconut.

M: Full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Creamy with a slight amount of oiliness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a very pleasantly rich full creamy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable with a well constructed underlying roasty malt base balancing out the sweetness from the fudge + brownie - the coconut + peanut butter are subtle and complementary.

PB Fusion Technique pours black with a medium-sized, long-lasting, tan head. The aroma is filled with sweet chocolate and fudge. The flavor is very rich, with chocolate, fudge, and peanut butter to finish. Great thick feel. Overall, fantastic, sweet, and has lots of sweet flavors.

A - Dark brown pour with a dense, creamy molasses dense lacing ring.

S - Chocolate malt with big peanut butter nose.

T - A perfect blend between peanut butter and mild chocolate malt with very little alcohol presence and finishes on the sweeter side.

M - Big body, silky soft, leaves a sugary coating on the lips.

O - This beer is well worth checking out.

The pour is black, not just “Stout Black” but used motor oil black. The short lived head was a chocolate brown and left scant lacing.
The aroma was lost on my damaged nose.
The taste. I think some people can taste the most subtle of flavors and describe them in prose. Me? I get peanut butter and vanilla, which I think was the coconut. As in lots of peanut butter. There is some stout in there but I got peanut butter. I rated them higher than my preference as they made no illusions that it wasn’t a peanut butter flavor.
The feel was amazing, viscous and thicc and a true sipping beer.
OA, not a beer that I would seek out, but not unhappy with trying it.

This is a treat! Smooth, creamy, chocolatey, with a good mix of PB and coconut. The aroma is awesome, though. Tons of delicious peanut butter fudge, not much coconut coming through. It’s not overly sweet and there’s a nice bitterness underneath it all (@Eddieeight is spot on with “baker’s chocolate “). It has a thick body, but my pour had minimal head and seems only slightly carbonated. The flavors clash slightly on the finish, but it’s still an impressive beer. I do suspect that these flavors might work better as an actual brownie, but I appreciate the creativity and execution of this one.

From the Big Box of Stouts! This is what I dream a Peanut Butter Stout is! Onyx color, tantalizing peanut aroma, luxurious chocolate and peanut butter flavors, indulgent mouthfeel! A+!

Appearance: Pours pitch black with a one finger well-tanned head; webby lacing

Smell: Peanut butter, chocolate and coconut are all present in the aroma but there is a solid underpinning of roasted malt

Taste: Rich chocolate and peanut butter flavors forward but the sweet element is offset by some of the roasted malt flavors; as the liquid journeys across the taste buds, the chocolate brownie element builds, along with a hint of coconut; the finish is sweet but not cloying

Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy, with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: As one who generally does not love sweet pastry stouts, this one impresses; it has the sweetness and adjuncts for those who enjoy pastry stouts but also retains enough of the base stout character to satisfy my taste buds

From the Extreme Beer Box. Pour is a black, vicious and aromatic delight. Coconut and fudge brownies come forward and result in a tasty, if sweet, stout. Finish is good; and about the only time we picked up bitterness was in the finish. Overall, the beer has negligible head, no legs and low carbonation, even for the type. That said, if you like very sweet, rich flavors, this one will certainly reward you handsomely.

Pours beyond motor oil, trending toward tar, from the can. A dark brown head gives a token appearance, but a thin ring and an oily coating is all that remains before too long. Nose is mostly peanuts, not overpowering in general, but with enough strength to hide other notes from me. Feel is thick and oily, with a liquid chocolate opening and a dry peanut butter middle. It seems sweeter on opening than it presents throughout, as the beer gets some dark fruit (date, raisin) and cola notes before the named ingredient comes into play. It doesn't get into the crazy pastry stout realm, thankfully, but it is sitting adjacent to them.
