Me? I am drinking Monday's usual.
With Monday's usual song. I know, I'm boring.
Plough Monday • Organic Brown Ale
It's Monday and I'm enjoying Duvel. Sorry to disrupt all of you drinking FBS every morning... but it is a treasure I've yet to find here.
Airport run, then doctors' appointments this morning. First, coffee:
So instead of toy donations or food drives, the WBAYDNers have a new cause for the holidays – getting @JakeScully some Founders Breakfast Stout. Give generously. Won't you please think of the children?
Founders is available in Sweden and Ireland, as other BAs have told me. Trading across the Atlantic is both very expensive (shipping for a few bottles) and your beers can be seized by the customs if you're unlucky.
Okay, since getting FBS to @JakeScully sounds like major difficulties are involved, maybe we all could contribute and bring him over to our shores. Who wants to volunteer a couch for him to sleep on? You can stay here if you don't mind three year olds providing 6am wake ups, Jake, or eating microwave breakfast burritos with Wisconsin beers.
Or listening to live Wilco on Monday mornings.
I have a few ones, if you'd like one!
Got out early to get the oil changed and tires rotated on the truck. Advantage to being first when they open the doors is that you get in and out...
Home now and enjoying some Narwhal on this chilly morning!
Good morning people! A busy week ahead here as it probably is for you as well. A frosty morning with our coldest temperature this fall which wiped out most of the surviving flowers. I'm going to enjoy Release #74 while continuing the Christmas decorating around the house. It's starting to look quite festive around here! There is definitely a bigger barrel presence in this batch than ones I've had in the past and I like that. Have yourself a great day!
Time for one.
Wow, I thought the spirit of giving and generosity didn't start until next week! You guys are awesome. I think I might cry.
This is a supportive place isn't it?
Happy Monday, BA's ! Turkey day is coming up quick, and the events are piling in, but there's still time to appreciate stellar glassware, right? Of course there is! The Staff was put to work today for all of your efforts yesterday. Let's see who will be rewarded for theirs. It's time for the Glass of the Day Awards!
GotD: Stein Club Sunday's might be officially off until next September, but these first two victors don't care about that, and I couldn't respect that enough ! @BeerVikingSailor , that may have been the best $1 you've ever spent! Cheers and congrats! On a side note, my deepest sympathies, and a big three cheers to Frank.
2nd: Another stein shout out to @Roguer who showed a couple of beauties. I can't wait for next September either fellas !
3rd: Might as well stick to the theme. @Stout_Sabre for what looks like a turkey with lederhosen on, O'Fest seidel.
Honorable mentions go out to @Buck89 for a rare and beautiful proper Westy XII post, and to @manillaroad for a fantastic hurricane glass!
Cheers everyone, and I will see you all soon!
Good morning, BAs! Grabbing a quick lunch-and-beer: chicken nuggets (not pictured) with Victory at Sea. It may be a long work day ahead, so I'm going to grab bits of relaxation where I can.
Thanks to @Lingenbrau and the "committee" for GOTD consideration. I didn't realize Stein Club Sundays were off. I'm a doofus.
A Zundert Trappist.
This is the other Dutch Trappist besides La Trappe. The Abbey switched to brewing (with help from the La Trappe brewers) in 2013, since slow scale agriculture was in economic decline.
Thanks for the mention. I wasn't aware that glassware was being ranked!
A quick edit and I have the perfect post-shoveling beer on this snow day!
It's only "officially" off. Who the hell is the Staff to decide when we can use such glorious vessels!?
That's a bit surprising considering that it is the most influential and revered daily event on BA . Haha! It's actually just my own narcissistic way of contributing to the best bar in the world (wide web). Cheers!
That breakfast don't look too shabby either! ....what's snow ?
Henniker Brewing King Misanthrope at the Union Diner. We had our first snow of the year last night and this Imperial Stout tastes better than ever! Cheers all
Good morning. Great beers all around I see. I'm having a little celebration to celebrate the occasion.
Sierra Nevada Celebration "fresh Hop IPA".
Lunchtime at Yellowhammer.
Sixth Anniversary Imperial Pilsner
Audemus Rye Imperial Stout
Well, I know all too well what it's like sitting here pining over what the cool kids are drinking. So, if I can help a brother och sister out, I will!
Drinking a w00tstout and watching the latest Star Wars. Cheers!
Boulder Beer - Slope Style Winter IPA.. cheers!
An other delicious IPA from Amager
Time for a beer while I grill a few steaks. I'm going to be burning a lot of coals this week!
KBS at Hopcat Chicago...
LOVE THIS COMMERCIAL!
Dude! They look like they need to hire a new glass washer.
Thanks, Costco prime. The beef brisket yesterday was as well. They're a good alternative to when I can't make it to my favorite mom and pop places. Cheers!
Good? It is a great alternative to cook at home. Most restaurants are using what is called "select" grade. I get all my steaks and roasts from Costco. Only beef, though. They have a nice Prime whole sirloin there.
Homebrew DIPA made with Amarillo, Citra, and American Summer (NZ) hops.
I don't think they wash glasses there, right @SawDog505 ?
My experience with the beef I've purchased has been more than satisfactory. The brisket yesterday was money!
