Thanks. I have to say I'm suffering from stein envy along with @Premo88. That Hamm's stein is awesome. I just picked this one up the other day.

I passed on a Schlitz 125 year anniversary stein that I wasn't sure I could get clean enough to actually use. I need to start thinking about more storage, although multiple honeydo projects have taken priority after the last five weeks. Cheers all and enjoy what's in your glass :beers:

I used to see them quite often when I was out looking for 'stuff'. I'll keep you in mind if I run across another.

Watched this video yesterday, posted by @Badfish in another thread...

Figured I'd share it over here, 'specially with me drinking a Heady and all...

    Hey, it's Freyja's Day but it's also Thor's birthday...

The original song is cool, too, plus this video...

I understand the contradiction when I say this was delicious but stouts and wine barrels don't belong together!

This is good enough to warrant buying another four pack and it resembles @jvgoor3786 's kitchen accessories. Now if he'd only buy that matching KitchenAid!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Long way off completing my home bar build but that won't stop me putting one on tap anyway! A small pour just checking on the carbonation. Omnipollo / Tired Hands inspired Pina Colada Milkshake DIPA!

I've always enjoyed the depth the wine barrels bring to The Abyss. I may just be an outlier though. I prefer a red wine barrel to a bourbon barrel. I also thouroughly enjoyed the JW Lees that was sherry cask aged as well.

    Cheers, JD.

Ok, actually a little surprised this will be a new style tick for me. Though I do feel I need a true representation to really get credit. It's not that I haven't enjoyed a 2-2 of St Ides in the past, but that was years ago... about the time BA was getting started.

Anyhow, this isn't too bad. Seems like a watered down bourbon and ginger-ale, light on the soda.

Had to get a shot on the stoop (I removed the brown paper bag for the shot). Actually this may be about the right beer for a "suburban DC stoop" :sunglasses:

Beer #2. I tend not to buy a lot of sours due to the high prices (teacher salary...I know many of you also feel it), but this one is affordable and delicious. Kudos to you, Rodenbach!
(Granted I'd rather have Grand Cru, but at less than half the price, I'll pick this every time.)

Nothing wrong with that piece of stone right there ... cool stein!

You're a good dude. :slight_smile:I'd try to make it worth your while, but truth be told, I need to delete a few beer glasses before I add any at my house. Amazing how those suckers pile up.

Thanks for posting! I like that guy. Makes me want to buy some Heady, fresh, aged or otherwise. (and Hemsworth *is* a good Thor ... watched Avengers: Age of Ultron last night for the first time, and *finally* somebody(thing) else can pick up that damn hammer:stuck_out_tongue:)

Me too on the wine barrels. Bourbon barrels turn a stout into bourbon, IMO, which is great if you're in the mood for some bourbon. Wine barrels add some fruity something to the stout while leaving the stout mostly in tact. I LOVE Prairie Artisan's wine barrel-aged stout, much, much more than anything they age in the bourbon barrels.

Downgrading to 12 oz. over here:
