    Kinda funny that they are calling this a West Coast IPA when it's really much more of an East Coast IPA with its biscuity malt character, notes of toffee and tropical fruits and pretty light bitterness.

    Sonamagun! My favorite beer advocate @Bitterbill asked me to make Hungarian goulash. Of course and thank you Bill! I had in mind the bock style beer to pair with that dish. It's the raisin that makes it pair imo. I added caraway seed and I planned on doing that. Ok cheers! What day is it? The funny part of my story is that after I drank all that bock beer I had no more beer. So I ended up using the pilsener again. A crutch? No, it's a staple.

    I gotta say. Other than their cans (eg, Nitro Black House, Spaceship Earth) I haven't really been into MT's monthly releases in 2017. 2016 had some really good ones in a bottle, like Floating World which I'd wish I could see again.

    Geodesic tastes very generic to me. It's got Amarillo, Mosaic and Experimental 331 hops, but I'll be darned if I could tell.

    Although I am at risk of having this non sequitur deleted by the powers that be, I wanted to say that is now legal as of today for @TheIPAHunter to buy Hailee Steinfeld a beer, and if THAT isn't reason to celebrate....

    Move over Steel Reserve 211, there’s a new cheap high gravity beer in town - “8,8 Premium Starkbier”, a Strong Euro Lager from France:



    Bready spicy black pepper; no DMS, no hint of 8.8% ABV. A nudge to the sweet side for a lager, but just barely. A cold pint can at local grocery store is 1.15 CHF/$1.20. Taste wise, the best strong lager I’ve tried in the last 3 months or so; very drinkable, I will get more of these - thinking of you @Shroud0fdoom this dismal, cold rainy day :sunglasses:!
