    Good morning everyone,

Right noon here and before lunch I am drinking IPA Hop Hunter. This one never disappoints either.
Boring weather report: it’s pretty chilly and cloudy. Fall is here, about time...

    Cheers

Brrrrrr. Thawing out from a fairly cold night. Very nice imperial stout from Greenport Harbor. Spicy brown sugar. Chocolate donut tasting rather good with it too.

The cold front pushed temps down into the 70’s yesterday, absolutely beautiful sunny breezy and “cool” here...long walk to the park with dogs done, now home trying something new to me from Funky Buddha - “Leave Some Room For Later”, a German Chocolate Cake, Double Brown Ale (8.8%) with coconut and vanilla flavors added:

I was going to review yesterday, but was just too pooped after round trip drive to G’ville with the RV and working in the storage unit...

Fast fizzy tan cap atop dark brown/almost black pour (57 degrees) with ruby see through; no retention, almost no ring;dots of lace on swirl, no legs; good clarity. 3.75

Chocolate cake nose with coconut right behind. 3.75

Chocolate cake taste with coconut; semi sweet; tinny metallic artificial flavor/finish. 3.5

Medium lite body, medium lite carbonation; artificial silky, thin adjuncty feel. 3.5

Not a fan; it smells like coconut and chocolate, but the taste is odd and the feel greasy; there is some vanilla in the aftertaste, but on the whole, it’s a one and done 3.5

The bottle lable advises to serve at 38 degrees, so the second half of the bomber is back in the fridge to re-chill...we’ll see in a bit if there is a noticeable difference ....

    Have a great Monday y’all!

Cheers BA’s. Still pretty dark here this morning so I’m ready for daylight savings. Was up too late binge watching Daredevil (best season so far) and had to get the boy ready for school.

I contemplated buying a single of this, but walked away. You hooked me in with "chocolate donut". I'm in.

All this thinking of beers I got learned on...and I still have one of these from last year. I probably should be napping now, but I kinda don’t give a shit. This still tastes great, I gotta go get this year’s asap.

First one of these this year. I was surprised to find it the other day, and didn't hesitate to grab a couple of 4-packs.

My wife is a happy woman; her "baby" is here for a visit.
And, of course, if she's happy, then I'm happy.

Cloudwater DDH IPA v1. Rather awesome stuff.
Brought this one, among others, home from the source in Manchester. Back to my boring kitchen for now.
    Cheers!

[IMG] Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass not sure when it was canned. Pours a hazy yellow orange with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves a thick foamy ring of lace, with excellent retention. 4.5

Smell papaya, earthy herbal hops, pineapple, tangerine, and mild grapefruit rind. 4.5

Taste follows papaya, earthy, pineapple, tangerine, and some very little grapefruit bitterness. 4.5

Mouthfeel is a solid medium, gentle soft carbonation, not dry but a tad sticky from the massive dry hopping, and drinks more like 6.5 or 7. 5

Overall at 5.3% this is one of the best NEAPAs I have ever had. Just incredible what they have done with this one. 4.5
