    Wifey is out today, so I can get at it early. I'm having a Weyerbacher Merry Monks. I still love the melding of classic Belgian flavors here. Banana, clove & coriander married perfectly. Mmmmm....

    375 ml. bottle.
    Brewed December 14, 2018.
    Moderate pour yields a huge head, after settling, topped it off to bring it to a two inch white head over a hazy, light yellow body with gobs of sticky lacing. Nose of funk, raspberries, red currants, and slight tropical fruit. Taste mirrors nose. Period. Finishes with all that fruit and a bit of citrus. Also, that funk on the nose never goes away. Wonderfully refreshing and delicious! Nice feel, and overall, this would be on my short list for a desert island beer. Cheers to Vasilios!

    Light clear lemon yellow color with white cap and good lacing.

    Dark, forest floor vegetal aroma with a sharp citrus zest influence.

    Taste is hop forward, sharp, citrusy, bitter with a surprising malt middle that sorta holds it all together. For a single hop this one's a wowzer, providing everything from scent through flavor then finishing with hop sharpness that lasts well into the aftertaste.
