    I think Charlie Christian was the dude who brought electric guitars about, he was messing around with it in 1936 when he slapped a pickup on an acoustic.

    they were huge fans and apparently the feeling was mutual; Terry Adams (NRBQ founder, keyboardist, driving force) sat in with the Arkestra fairly frequently I think. NRBQ also covered We Travel The Spaceways and Love In Outer Space.
