    1) Equilibrium Energy Equals (8.0% No canning date): A NEIPA from NY with flavors of tropical pineapple, mango, grapefruit citrus, and apricot. Creamy, yet clean.
    versus
    2) The Veil Merciless Merciless (8.0% canned 2/13/23): A DDH NEIPA from Virginia with Citra, Galaxy, Simcoe, and Vic Secret for flavors of ripe orange, creamy pineapple and mango. Creamy oat malt body. (Mismatched the two blind)

    Winner:
    2) The Veil Merciless Merciless
: Both of these are excellent and no date from EQ, but was much better fresh as the flavors have faded significantly. The Veil has made a mighty one here. Great hop flavors that balance the Citrusy Citra and Vic Secret with a more resinous Simcoe and Galaxy. This is a great brewery. Maybe need to work on their beer naming conventions as repeating the name twice to indicate it's double dry-hopped doesn't quite roll off the tongue. Incredible juicy, soft and creamy haze here.

Broken Skull from El Segundo. Not a gimmick beer by any stretch. This is a well-crafted WCIPA. Cheers!

My mental health day was supposed to be me getting my bike out tuned up and ridden. Unfortunately my plumbing project got in the way. It's done now...[IMG]

Went for a walk to the nearby park on the Gulf to stretch my legs and get some sun earlier. Sunny, breezy 74° at the high with low humidity. Lovely. Cheers y’all!

I’m not “all California” because I’m from here. I find that beer a tad sweet for my liking. But I would still pound one if one was put in front of me. Glad you like it, my bro!! Now go get some Mayberry!

This is a long time want that a former co-worker picked up for me on her vacation out east last week. Interesting beer, but, I just don't like sweet chocolate anymore. Happy she got it for me and happy to try.

    Poured from a bottle.
The beer pours pitch black. No light comes through when held up to the light. The head is tan, 2 finger, but not long lasting. There's no lacing on the glass.
The aroma has a faint hint of chocolate in it. It smells more like a sweet milk chocolate than dark chocolate.
The start seems to have a slight, yet pleasing bitterness to it. Slightly roasted malt up front. The back is the milk chocolate, and it is pretty sweet. That sweetness is balanced out a bit by the front bitterness.
Creamy and smooth feeling. It has a decent body for the ABV.
If you like sweet milk chocolate - this is for you. Me, I am not a fan of sweet milk chocolate, but it was interesting to try.

Durango and Mustang washed, 2 mile run complete. I'm now enjoying a Jai Low, the little 4.5% baby brother of Jai Alai.
