Broo Doo, a wet hop IPA from 3 Floyds. Not my favorite style but this was tasty!

    1) Benediktiner Oktoberfest (5.8%): A German Festbier with flavors of earth and pale Munich malts. Floral and bready notes.
    versus
    2) Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn (6.0%): A German Festbier with flavors of pale malt, dry bread, grains, yeast. Crisp and carbonated. (Correctly guessed the two beers blind)

German Festbier Battle. Both are rated an 87 on BeerAdvocate so should be a good battle, here we go.
First is Benediktiner. Very authentic with some earthy and floral notes. Clean.
Next is Paulaner. Very similar, but slightly more rustic and yeasty. I've been drinking Paulaner for years and these are nearly identical, but I think Benediktiner has slightly more Munich and earthy flavors here and getting the slight win here.
    Winner: Benediktiner

I'd like this Rhinegeist drop a lot more if it didn't have so many sea monkeys frolicking around in it. But I'll have another as the feel and taste are fine. The flagship Truth is superior IMO.
My old truck title was transferred today to the buyer. Now 100% not mine !! That's worth celebrating. And I've decided to buy a newer vehicle next summer. The '04 Trailblazer gets 1 moe year as my drum machine. It'll get a major workout :sunglasses::beers: Cheers![IMG]

Last can of Aass. Is that redundant? :stuck_out_tongue::grinning: Anyhoo, it's good beer whether you're in Northern Germany speaking Low German or in Finland, MN speaking Ja Hey Right?
    Aass Norwegian Pilsner
    I will get more. Cheers!

    Hey BAs!

Enjoying this delicious Franconian Zwickelbier from Shilling. Wish I had more of these left.

Just did one lap up a local ski mountain... but between the sun, afternoon heat, dust from construction, and my generally poor demeanor today... I quit after that.

Last real workout before next race in 3 days and I'm feeling like ain't nothing I can do at this point. Might as well have a beer!

Had a tough time with this course last year, and I'm expecting the same again this year after all my summertime Lake Life frivolity. I never learn.

The 2mi / 2,100' vert descent at the end is wicked pissah on da legs!

Funnily, an article (How To Do Nothing (In Training)) popped into my inbox this week.

Something tells me it wasn't written in the context of 20 Urquells daily tho hahaha!

Title made me think of @eppCOS 's recent comment, Training is Overrated™.

I'm all-in on that theme at the moment!!

    Cheers Advocates!

    1) Phase Three House Plants (8.1% canned 7/10/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Vic Secret and Rakau with flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, pear, green melon.
    versus
    2) Phase Three Rule Of Thirds (7.7% canned 7/10/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Mosaic & Nelson for flavors of white grape, passionfruit, melon, and tropical berries.

Phase Three NEIPA Battle. Phase Three makes some of the best IPAs in Chicagoland. First House Plants with Citra, Vic Secret, and Rakau that give it some grapefruit and pear flavors. Bright and juicy.
Next is Rule Of Thirds with Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson. Lots of tropical blueberries, grape, and melon from the Mosaic and Nelson combination. Two outstanding NEIPAs from Phase Three.
    Winner: Rule Of Thirds

Good afternoon BAs! Today I'm enjoying a glass of Full City Coffee Porter from Forked River Brewing in London, Ontario. This one definitely doesn't skimp on the coffee, so I expect to be wired for the next hour or so. Cheers!

...got word that my old neighbor Tactical Bob is having a short Veterans Administration ceremony at his home later this afternoon...although I'll be cooking ribs at that time, I believe I'll be there in all my USAF-glory to help honor his USA-old man ass...in the meantime, a glass of IPA (Bob's favorite beer style - old school west coast tongue-ripper style, but this'll do) raised to TB on this glorious occasion...
