Drekker/Deciduous collab Type 3 Fun NEIPA, 6.5% ABV. Pours hazy golden with a 3 finger white head that left great lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit and citrus. Taste is citrus, moderately bitter, slightly sweet. OK mouthfeel, slightly dry. Overall very good.

One of my favorite holiday hoppy beers (besides Celebration, which I usually buy several 12 pks of) - this is local, fresh and amazing!

 

Beautiful day out, in the 60's Which I love, but its too cold out for my pupper Moe ha. So he is inside...

Courtyard beer and book time. Orval in the glass, one of my favorites. If you are not familiar with these books, not surprising. From the Archipelago Books Press, one of the best a true independent book printing presses left that is at least somewhat widely distributed. The do all kinds of translations to English, in these odd shaped books ha. Usually they are pretty short, but always excellent and usually from writers I have never heard of. About to finish Luigi Pirandello's hilarious and metaphysical One, None, and a Hundred Grand. Before moving on to a Polish novel Needle's Eye, by Wieslaw Mysliwski.

First to review this one, and I'm liking to loving everything about it. Fonta Flora, definitely a see what they brew and buy type of brewery based on initial offerings I've tried.

Will brave the cold for lunch, hope @tasterschoice62 's team are ahead of that Decatur / Arlington Heights team when I walk in for the pickup. Still have fond memories of the New York Football Giants opening a can of whup ass during their last playoff meeting, and blasting this song afterward.

Right along here ba. Storm king, imperial stout, Victory. Use to drink this, way more often, back when these guys were more relevant.

This version is nice. Very hop forward, so I get the black ipa connotation. Rather robust notes of chocolate malt, vanilla, and anise. A bit light for an is but nice drinking nonetheless,
