Enjoying this Polish witbier on a hot Monday afternoon here in Madrid (95 F / 35 C last I checked).
It’s got a nice coriander and banana bread aroma, and the initial flavor is very similar, not unlike many Belgian or German variants I’ve had. But there is a lingering note of malt and sweetness that sticks to your tongue afterward that isn’t quite as good. Still a solid 3.75/5 for my tastes though!

 

Some early rain today but we both got our walks in, laundry done and floors cleaned. Jai Alai for lunch prep, some cheesesteak dip with corn chips.

 

JJJuliusss to start the day here. Pretty gloomy overcast and cool out today, this is helping brighten things up a bit for me. Like a mango orange peach and pineapple smoothie. Real great IPA. Cheers all!

Tree House - Very Green now, down to my last can left. Really nice Galaxy hop blend flavor profile, big on yellow tropical fruits, zesty citrus and a dank diesely pine streak. Cheers all!

My second of the evening (still 86 f at almost 9:30 pm oof) is this Ukrainian https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/46044/739490/ Brew. Initial smell is metallic, taste starts off the same way before turning into a VERY sweet corn flavor, malty, and then metallic flavor coming back on the finish. It’s not the worst thing ever, perfectly drinkable but not really anything to write home about either.

Didn’t expect to be drinking an Old Irving brewed selection today, but this is a solid “Modern” Lager collaboration with three additional 2016 established Chicago Breweries (Dovetail, Hopewell, and Cruz Blanca). Krush hops not as polarizing as I sometimes find, tropical balanced lager, drinks a bit higher than the 6.0% ABV, at least for my candy ass. Full review linked below.
