Just got back from a restaurant crawl. Never heard of it before but it's the same as a pub crawl just with food. In laws had extra tickets so I can't turn down free food. Had a Two Hearted and SN Pale Ale while we were out.

Back home. I like my Wolf Dirty. Delish. Recycled pic because I was lazy.

 

All Day all night!

 

Is this one really hoppy? I have read the descript and have not tried it because of the "hop" balance. I don't care for the strong "hop" flavor. I like my porters and stouts that are malty.

very good. I've never had this style of beer before.

 

I just got home, worked out...showered and now it's time for a good IPA.

Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale

 

Well it's honestly tasting great to me but its been almost a year since I've had a celebration so its hard to compare. I'm gonna save a couple 2013's to a side by side with the 2014's. I'd still drink the shit out of this beer at 10 months old even if the 2014 is better, its just a great beer all around!

 

Looks like it's Sucks Night on BA tonight. I'll join in.

The espresso and roasty flavors dominate for me. Imperial stouts can vary in hoppiness, but also have the big roasty and malt flavors too. For certain, it is worth a try. Maybe just don't buy a case.

This was a top 100 beer for years here on BA, back in late 90's and early 2000's. In fact, if I recall correctly it was a top 10 beer at one point. It's certainly one you shouldn't avoid, in my opinion.

 

Goose Island Rambler/R. J. Rockers Peachy King

 

Did better on my test Monday night than I thought. Celebratory beers instead of tears filled beer! Some past its prime Deschutes Fresh Squeezed, a Fullsail LTD 07 ( o'fest) & now a Green Flash White IPA. Got skunked on limited release Prairie beer today, not sure why I even bothered to try. Getting a little tired of artificial "rareness." Grumble, grumble...

Not at all. It was $10.99 for a 750ml Bottle. And at 11.42% ABV that isn't half bad

 

I guess I am going to have to try it now (espresso and roasty dominating). Thanks for letting me know that I should give it a try, I am pretty sure I can pick it up in a single around here. Thanks again for the info!
