I generally agree with you but for two exceptions: Decadent Dark Chocolate served in a big ol' snifter and Vanilla Java porter. The rest I'd cook with

Back in the day, I traded a Dark Lord for a Tank 7. I originally though, man this guy screwed me, but once I actually tasted a Dark Lord, I know who did the screwing...

When I was just starting to get into craft beer I was ticking the top 100, which at the time had a lot of fairly common beers on it. So I went to this bar, The Avenue Pub in New Orleans, to have a couple beers. I saw they had Rogue's Shakespeare Stout on draft. I was really excited as at the time, this was a top 100 beer on BA (seriously). I also had some random IPA. Now they had a couple of other beers that were at the time in the top 100, but I figured I could just get those some other time at any old bar, so I passed on them. The beers I pass on were Cantillon Classic Gueuze on draft, and St. Lamvinus bottles. Have never seen either available at a bar (or even in a store) since.

    This...

I was on my way back to the states after my deployment was over and and we stopped at RAF Mildenhall in suffolk for a night. I had been up for over almost 24 hours by the time we landed and me and the other airman I was with got settled in our rooms and walked off base to this kabob place about 15 mins away. I was starving so I ate a ton of food, then we walked to the pub right outisde the gate called the "Bird in Hand" because I was dieing for a good pint. This was the first and only time (so far) that I've been in england and the beer I had was really good. I don't know if all the pubs are like this, but this place clearly paid extra good attention to how they serve the beer. The temperature was just right all that stuff. We sat down on the couch, sipped our pints, and then headed back to our lodging with intent to go back out after the other airman regrouped with some friends that were stationed there. I sat down on the most comfortable bed I'd seen in over 4 months with a stomach full of food and a little buzzed and I passed right the fuck out. :/

tl/dr: I was in England and only had one pint. Regret it still.

I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me. Cantillon had a huge shipment sent to a store I frequent. Classic Gueuze, Kriek and Vigneronne were all on the shelf with about 6 bottles each. Didn't snag any at that time, I didn't know what Lambics were. So I wanted to try them out, went back to the store a day later...gone. I didnt know about how rare Cantillon is in Baltimore, so I chucked it off as no big loss. I still give a face palm when thinkin about this situation now.

Getting a Mr. Beer kit a couple years ago as a gift & only brewing what came with it, not returning since despite the fact I bought a better higher ABV recipe to make. I've had acquaintances offer me their over stock brewing equipment...just haven't been truly bitten by the brew bug yet. Maybe someday...at this point I can't get past the idea of homebrew being a better tasting alternative to the market place.

Not buying up all the Cantillon a few years ago when it used to sit on shelves collecting dust. Oh, how I miss it so...

Recently - missing out on a tapping of a keg of Dino Smores.

Not being independently wealthy so I don't have to make decisions when I go to the beer store. I can just get all I want with no regrets. On a serious note though it would be living in reading PA for college and not visiting victory, troegs or any of the other relatively nearby breweries. It's not that I live far now just stuck with more responsibilities.

Letting Bourbon County Vanilla sit on the shelf, about 5 years ago, thinking to myself, "Ehh, I'll come back for it, I've already got enough for today."

Natty light mostly because it was super cheap. They have a plant around here. My favorite poor man's beer is between PBR and Busch. I buy those now when I'm drinking for quantity not quality. Also, since I live in Cincinnati, I sometimes get Hudy Delight which is a local poor man's beer.

When I was aimlessly exploring my options in the liquor store around the age of 22, I bought a six-pack of this crap one time: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/726/2831/ Kept trying to convince myself that it was halfway decent as I slowly drank through the sixer, but deep down I knew it was worse than drinking Coors Light.

Not buying every bottle of Depth Charge that I could get my hands on....

Passing over all of the Cantillon sitting on shelves while I bought year round releases that I can still get to this day...

Ignoring the bottle of Alpha Kong that stared at me for months... Went back to purchase and it was gone

Still don't homebrew.... I would love to but not sure how the wife would take it...
