Just had rpm and hop venom the other day from Boneyard Brewing from Bend, OR. These are incredible IPAs and are slowly starting to get good recognition. Do you think they will ever start to bottle there brews?
Probably have to ask them as they are the ones who really know, other than that it is just a rhetorical question. Good beer tho
Brewers told me no when I was there, but they had just collaborated on a pretty great bottled beer with Widmer (http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/8/117559/)
From what I understand, they've fooled around with the idea of canning but have had too much trouble meeting all their demand for kegs as it is. Quote from the owner (2012): "I had hoped to be doing some distribution by can by now, but we're barely able to keep up with draft distribution (just the Northwest for now) and there's no way I want to alienate our distributors by launching the canning project and shorting our draft supply. We'll get to canning when we're ready." Since then they've expanded their brewing capacity, only to meet higher demand for kegs. Here's what it would look like - just the sight of that 16oz RPM can makes me drool...
No they wont in the near future. They are too backlogged on draft accounts. Its a bummer, but if you live in Bend, Salem, or Portland - you should be able to get it basically whenever you want.
Boneyard sold their canning machine/line to Goodlife while building a new, larger brewery. They've talked about some small batches in bombers, but nothing more than that for the near future since they can barely meet draft demand.
I'm glad they are so in demand and they are not doing something that they are not ready for. That being said I'd rather their stuff be flowing more in town. More venom and notorious would make me happy
^^ I agree and it's not like they are impossible to find right now. It would just be awesome to be able to take home a 4 pack of RPM someday in the future
