Your favorite Maple Stouts

2016 Bourbon County Maple Rye, with cocoa nibs and chipotle peppers

 

Morning Wood, which is the bourbon barrel aged version of wide awake is probably one of my favorite beers. The bourbon and oak from the barrel really take that beer to a different level

 

I've only tried three maple stouts/porters, and all three were quite tasty. The ones I've had and recommend trying to get a hold of are:

Funky Buddha Maple Bacon Coffee Porter
Funky Buddha Wide Awake It's Morning
Grimm Maple Bourbon Double Negative

 

KBBS - '13 was literally like drinking maple syrup, coffee and bourbon. Best beer I've ever had up to this point.
Carpe Diem from Madhouse Brewing was another spectacular maple stout.

 

This for me as well. Smell is off the charts.

Like blueberry pancakes with maple syrup. We actually got distribution down here earlier this year, but they were snatched up pretty quick and haven't returned.

Not going to be on a level with the "big boys" but a whole hell lot easier to get.

 

Had a Mikerphone Imperial Smells Like Bean Spirit (batch #3) last night....MAPLE BOMB!!!! Granted it was bottle the same day I drank it so it was as fresh as it gets.

 

3 month old Good Morning. granted this was one of the only maples i can think of I have had

 

There's like 10 of these beers and they're all from the same 4 breweries.

 

Good low-cost alternative to maple bacon stouts: Dump a shot of Jim Beam Maple into a snifter along with a couple of drops of liquid smoke. Top with 12 ounces of FBS. What could possibly go wrong?

 

have a bottle of Crown bourbon barrel aged maple syrup I drizzled in a couple imperial stouts which wasn't too bad either
