If you're drinking BFM and not expecting a sour, or funky beer you might be out of your comfort zone. Stay away from Fantome.

Same brew for me...mine had a ton of particulate floating around in it and was the weakest stout I ever had.

Today, bought a single of Labatts Prohibition Series Bourbon Barrel Ale. Wanted to see what it was like.

I believe you're blaming the wrong country:
    >>>>>[IMG] <<<<<

Labatt USA is part of North American Breweries (Genesee, Magic Hat, Pyramid, Portland, Dundee, etc), they brew some Labatt-branded beers - like this series (which IIRC doesn't even exist north of the border) - at the Genesee brewery in Rochester, NY.

Even the Labatt-branded beer they import from Canada are not brewed by Labatt, but by.... Molson.:astonished:

What was wrong with it? You don't like sour beers?

Pineapple IPA by Lucky Girl Brewing was AWFUL. I described it as "Robotussin with a bit of Pineapple". Glad I only got one bottle of it.

Lakefront imperial pumpkin. Too sweet, too much alcohol burn. Highly rated but I had no desire to finish it so dumped the last 2/3 of it and grabbed something else.

1 bottle of Yards Brawler in a case was off, oxidation. Thankfully, it was only that one!

And another ones bites the dust. Tried my first pumpkin beer tonight, and was instantly disappointed. Down you go, Pumkick. I know it's a bad first choice.. Being that is has cranberry juice in it.. Holy hell was it bad. Going to try Crown Valley's version tomorrow night(stout)

And for the guy asking why I DP'd(lol) Saga, it was just gross. I hate IPA's, but have been trying to bring my palate around to them.. It has just been a struggle. I knew it was an IPA.. the ID thing was just a joke. Ale's and I typically don't mix, but you can't fault a guy for trying!

I'm not drain pouring anything as long as it's not infected! If I paid for it and it tastes like shit, I'm throat pouring it as fast as I can so I can at least enjoy a buzz off it and if I bought a sixer, I'm passing it off on friends when they come over because we all have that one friend that comes over, never brings anything to drink, but will ask for a beer.

Funky Buddha blueberry cobbler. Probably one of, like, five beers I've ever poured out because of taste. Habanero Sculpin was the one before that.

Honestly I am really surprised by this. Just tried this the other day and was quite impressed with it.

But anyway last drainpour of mine was Sam Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout. Have had it many times in my day but last time I had it, it tasted really off. Like it was made with chocolate syrup or something. Was too sweet, which it typically isn't. Was probably old or something but threw me off and haven't had it since.

For me, Expedition Stout. I tried it both fresh and aged and couldn't finish either. I know it is a well loved beer on here and I generally love the style, but it is just not for me. I am aging one more for another year and will hope for better things.

I recently opened a Brewmaster Jack Hop Essence (Simcoe?) bomber and it promptly foamed up and over and just kept gushing. Luckily I was standing near the sink to take full advantage of this self-drainpouring beer.

Otherwise all my Brewmaster Jack experiences have been ace.
