    1. Butte Creek Organic Porter + 26.1% - Really I just love this beer. I could drink them all night and the price is right. Great example of an American Porter.
    2. San Miguel Pale Pilsen + 15.4% - I'm a little biased on this beer. When you're living in the Philippines, there's not much beer to choose from. This is usually my go-to beer when I'm there. Very drinkable, and the price is always right.
    3. Oettinger Hefeweisbier + 13.6% - I had this in the Philippines. I probably liked it so much cause I'd been drinking San Miguel so much it's overwhelmingly nice to have anything different for a change.
    4. Pizza Port Oats - This beer was delicious. Nuff said.
    5. Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter - I love me some porters. This beer is complex and tasty. Always hits the spot and satisfies my porter craving. Highly underrated IMO.

    1. Fantôme Boo - 70.8% - Infected mess
    2. De Molen Anchorage Mud & Funk - 65.6% - Maybe it was infected, I'm not sure. Tasted like sour red wine and dirt.
    3. Budweiser - 57.4% - I can't even finish a whole can of Bud. It's disgusting. Someone offered me one and I didn't want to be rude so I tried to stomach it down but it is foul. Very very foul.
    4. Belgo Anise Imperial Russian Stout - 57.4% - The black licorice is over-powering and just ruins the beer. Made me want to vomit.
    5. Peak XV Imperial Porter - 54.5% - Off-tasting medicinal funk.

    High
    1) Leine Berry Weiss +19.9; 3.37
Nothing great but it is what it is

    2) Newcastle Werewolf +18.5; 3.78
I liked this better than other Newcastle offerings.

    3) SA Chocolate Bock +18.2; 4.28
The chocolate really comes through. I look forward to it every winter.

    4) ST Oak Aged Pumking +17.9; 4.88

I know that regular Pumking has a love/hate reputation. But I found that the oaked version was far less over-the-top sweet and buttery.

    5) Leine Harvest Shanty +17.6; 3.74
As with #1, it is what it is.

    Low
    1) Modelo Especial Chelada -41.1; 1.42
Nothing remotely redeemable about this "beer."

    2) Block House Double Chocolate Bock -35.2; 2.12
The chocolate flavor was fake and nasty

    3) Not your Father's Root Beer 5.9 abv -34.5; 2.83

    4) Jolly Pumpkin Maracaibo Especial -34.1; 2.61

    Ditto on all of these.

I noticed the trends for beers below ratings deviation in general to be:
    Beers outside of style guidelines
    Fruit beers
    Potentially infected beers

On the above and below are American Adjunct Lagers.

I'm actually pretty surprised that I don't have the kinds of huge variations that I've seen from other BAs. Judging by my "aboves," though, I'm clearly a homer.

    Above:

New Glarus Two Women Lager (+14.2%) - Probably the best American-made German pilseners I've ever had.
New Glarus Totally Naked (+13%) - What every U.S. adjunct lager should aspire to be.
Founders Dirty Bastard (+10.6%) - I'm a bit of a sucker for Scotch Ales and all things Founders.
Central Waters Illumination (+10.6%) - Fantastic, easy-drinking DIPA.

    Below:
New Belgium La Folie (-20.9%) - I reviewed this one in my "pre-sour" days.
New Holland Dragon's Milk (-16.8%) - Way too syrupy/boozy for my liking (at the time I reviewed it).
Big Bay Long Weekend IPA (-13%) - Too sweet and without much hop presence at all.
Alaskan Icy Bay IPA (-10.4%) - Muted hop flavors and too watery of a body.

Pizza Port Chronic Ale (+11.4%)- Surprisingly smooth and drinkable

    Below:
Sierra Nevada Hoptimum (-57.9%)- Find the hops irritatingly bitter and I like hoppy IPAs
Terrapin Coffee Oatmeal Stout (-31.5%) - Flavor just doesn't work for me. Too sweet. Artificial coffee flavor.
Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA (-26.8%) - Citrus tastes very artificial to me.

I think this is in large part due to me living 2 miles from the brewery. Not homerism as much as the fact that I've had this one day old off the line. I've never had it not fresh, so I don't know how fresh it was when others reviewed it.

    Black House
    Modern Times Beer
    4.79 +19.5%
I find this beer to be pretty damn perfect, while others rate it as above average. Difference in opinion I guess?

    Stout
    Strike Brewing Co.
    4.21 +19.3%
Also a hometown brewery, I've had this one fresh from the source time and again. There's also not a ton of ratings so it may normalize as they increase distribution.

    Bud Light
    Anheuser-Busch
    2.2 +18.9%
Personally, I'd argue 2.2 was too generous of me.

    Evil Cousin
    Heretic Brewing Company
    4.62 +18.5%
Not a local brewery, but they're two hours up the road. Just like with the others, I've always had it fresh in the bottle or at the taproom.

So one difference of opinion, one where I wasn't as mean to AB, and three cases where me getting it fresh from the source probably affects my rating.

    Bud Light Lime-A-Rita
    Anheuser-Busch
    1.43 -32.2%
Quite possibly the most vile, disgusting, shitty excuse for an alcoholic beverage I've ever made the mistake of imbibing.

    Señor Saison
    Coronado Brewing Company
    3.08 -14%
I thought it was terribly mediocre.

    Valley Of The Heart's Delight
    Almanac Beer Co.
    3.77 -13.5%
It was good, just not as good as others thought. Difference of opinion again.

    Todd The Axe Man
    Surly Brewing Company
    3.91 -12.9%
Damn good, just didn't rate as high as others did. I should revisit this one honestly.

    Pale Ale
    Saint Archer Brewing Co.
    3.2 -12.6%
I was extremely underwhelmed by this one, especially compared to most of their other stuff.

So overall, one I thought was horrific beyond reason, one that was super mediocre, two where I just wasn't as into it as others, and one more that I think I might revisit next time I'm in MN and have another.

Busch Beer 3.16 rating +59.6% rDev I still like it over Bud.
Queen Victoria's Secret IPA 3.78 rating +42.6% rDev I think this beer got killed because it was entered into the database wrong when it still mattered on the site to somewhat rate to style.
Icehouse 2.85 rating +41.1% rDev I guess I hated this less than most others.
Clone Ale 3.68 rating +41% rDev No idea why I liked this more than other reviewers. Have not had it since my review.
Modelo Especial 3.92 rating +40.5% rDev If anyone accuses me of being a beer snob, I point them to this review. It is more a Vienna Lager than a AAL though.

    Lowest:
Special Smoked Porter 1.74 rating -46.3% rDev Even for this brewery I am surprised it is the lowest.
Viking Afternoon 1.92 rating -44.2% rDev This beer was just awful. No smoke or hops. Just dish soap.
Hardcore IPA 2.24 rating -43% rDev More dish soap. Have never bought a Brewdog beer since. Almost 7 years now.
Hitachino Nest White Ale 2.58 rating -36.9% rDev I have always been skeptical of Japanese beer since this one.
Hunahpu's Imperial Stout 3.00 rating -34.5% rDev This will create some controversy. Did not hate it. But definitely did not like it. Immediately came off my want list.

+25.3% Fantôme Extra Sour Special Original Creation - Black Dark Extra - Brasserie Fantôme
This beer had so much funk it had to be good.

+24.8% Token Bourbon Barrel Aged - Alpine Beer Company

This was a fluke. I actually liked the infection and rated that rather than the original pre-infection version that i thought wasn't so great. I didn't like that they cut the beer with 50% regular token.

+24.1% Gouden Vallei - Alpine Beer Company

All time favorite Alpine beer. When it was first released the pink peppercorns were so clear and gave it so much depth.

+23.7% Anadromous - Anchorage Brewing Company

Don't get how I am so low here...

    -30.2% Beauregarde - The Bruery
or here.... just tasted like the standard Bruery golden sour. No blueberry....

    -28.1% Abrasive Ale - Surly

though it was good.... just not as good as everyone else....

-23.5% Vitis Series: Oui Oui - The Bruery

Another that basically just tasted like a golden sour... just a little tarter from the vine.

-20.4% Saison Du BUFF - Dogfish Head Brewery

I just didn't like the second release from them. Especially compared to Victory or Stone. I think second release was won by Victory.
