22 oz bottle bought from Haggens in Keizer ( used to be Albertsons) $3.99 Pours a slightly hazy amber/orange colour with a large frothy and thick white head. Loads of fruity.spicy citrus hoppiness in the nice a bare whiff of green onion. Flavour danker resinous at first then the lemon and lime zestiness shows. There is an ashy almost alkaline taste below. Not sure..its not bad though. Mouth feel is OK average. Maybe even a bit watery in the very end. OK beer but nothing special

Had this in early August 2015 @ Belmont Station on tap. Was impressed.
Pours a copper color, 1/2" white head. Mosaic in all its glory here, gave off plenty of that humid, weed, garlic, mango, papaya tropical juicyfruit aroma drop.
Taste hits those best of both worlds crisp bitter but not abrasive hit alongside the juicy dankness. This was one of my first Mosaic hopped beers. They didn't go with a sticky heavy malt base, it was a simple, lightly toasted body, crisp and letting the Mosaic hops shine. None of that slushy body milkshake stuff, just tight and light. All the tropical fruits and weed like notes you can shake a stick at.
What I really liked about this was that it showed an older brewery from the PacNW not afraid to go after some proprietary hops, for awhile it seemed like this region was holding onto the heavy crystal malt and C bittering hopped imperial ipas for longer than anywhere else, to their detriment. This was a return to glory for a brewery I had hit up since the late 90s.

22oz bottle. Pours pale orange amber in color, mostly clear, and forms relatively little head. Aroma is super juicy: peaches, passionfruit, tropical fruit. Wow, this is a really delicious smelling tropical IPA! Taking the first sip the juicy flavors greet the front of my tongue but the bitter astringency of 66 IBUs quickly rushes to the sides of my mouth and coats my cheeks. And yet it remains very neutral on the middle of the palate.
Enjoyable and recommended. I'm really liking all the tropical hop IPAs we've been getting the past few years. This is my first experience with Cascade Lakes Brewing. I must seek out Hopsmack from these guys soon.

Love these mosaic IPA's. After we discovered Crux Fermentation Projects Half Hitch, I've been all over beers brewed with mosaic. So I'm obviously using their's as a benchmark and showing my bias towards Crux's outstanding version. But Cascade Lakes just about nailed it here with a non-imperial version of their mosaic. The smell is very floral, like the immediate smell you get from crushing hops in your hand. Taste is very good but a little lacking on the floral mosaic side. Still get a lot of fruit flavor - some grapefruit, star fruit, a little orange peel and a little bitterness. I would definitely get again. Just doesn't compare to an imperial version.

Golden amber in color, slight haze. Orange cream head with streak lacing. Aroma is light citrus and caramel malt. Flavor is well balanced with citrus hops, grapefruit and tangerine, hints of pine and herbs. Smoothed out with some malt, and a slight hops bitterness that lingers on the palet. A very good beer.

Six pack from Albertsons. Mild haze on a medium gold body, small, soft head. Aroma is citrus and hoppy. Taste follows with amplified citrus, grapefruit, pineapple and oranges. Mild bitterness comes at the tail end, and lingers for a bit. Pretty flavorful.

On tap at the brewpub.
Look: deep amber body with an exceptional off-white head; excellent lacing.
Mild aroma features hops that provide some tropical fruit and h=grassy notes.
Flavor: follows the nose. Moderate+ bitterness. Moderately strong and bitter for style.
Medium, smooth body and lively carbonation.

Bought a very fresh 6er in PDX. I recall having their Cyclops IPA my last trip to Portland and being glad I did, so....
Pours a deep gold, a bit cloudy, not much head development.
Taste is a lot citrusy, a bit piney, and quite delicious. Leaves a slight oily/resiny taste on the palate which builds nicely with each swallow.
A 'sneaky' beverage ---- delightfully tasty and fantastically drinkable, so DO be careful.
Another excellent brew from Cascades, and a nice summertime offering for fellow addicts of the 'vile weed'. (w apologies to Seinfeld)

22oz bottle served in a large mug. Can't find a date on the bottle.
Pours a clear golden with a medium-small head and moderate carbonation that moves fairly slowly to the surface. Smell is old hay, fairly muted. Maybe slight honeysuckle.
Taste is moderate honeysuckle, maybe slight fruitiness. Lemony bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is a little too flat. Overall, it's not a bad beer, but it's not very exciting.

22 oz bottle purchased from Tavour in Seattle. Very enjoyable IPA. There are others in this style that I prefer, but certainly very drinkable. I would definitely purchase again.

This was a very solid and tasty IPA. Classic dark orange/near amber color with a thin white head to it that didn't linger. Aroma is of the pleasant Mosaic hop, duh, that to me is a sweet pine. Gives a good bite/crispness on the tongue as you put it back, with a a soft bitterness to the taste and a subtle dankness I would call it. Feels light, contrary to the color mentioned earlier, and effervescent on the tongue which makes it overall a very enjoyable IPA. Quite enjoyed it and will look for more from CLBC.
