A 330ml can with a BB of Sept 2018. Purchased a while back from Trembling Madness in York. Brewed in collaboration with Pint Shop (Cambridge) for Marble's 20th anniversary, the label describes this as a dry-hopped US pilsner with Ekuanot included in the hop bill.
A: Poured into a tulip. Can-conditioned. A bright, hazy golden hue with fine suspended sediment and moderate carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a while before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Nice lacing.
S: Aroma of fruity hops with hints of mild tropical fruits, white grape, subtle melon, grass, earthy yeast and light malt. Rather nice.
T: Tastes of seriously fruity hops with notes of white grape, melon, subtle tropical fruit, grass/hay, vague leafiness, earthy yeast and pale malt. Very dry, followed by a delicate hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with soft carbonation and good body. Would benefit from a tad more texture. Mildly astringent. Aftertaste of fruity aromatic hops, white grape, grass, mild herbal bitterness and earthy yeast.
O: Good stuff; a well-crafted extra hoppy pilsner. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are fruity, hoppy and earthy. Decent body - could be livelier. Captures the character of a pilsner well, with extra aroma from the novel hops used. Goes down a treat; not sure if this is still around but worth sampling if you have the chance.
