16oz can served in tulip-y pint glass. No date that I can see. Got it from @ozzylizard.

Pours dark brown with a large, two finger fluffy head that settles into a rocky mountain range with thick puffy clumps clinging to the sides of the glass. Smell is smoky rye spice, burnt nuts, unsweetened cocoa, a little vanilla, coffee.

Taste is chocolate milk with rye spice and vanilla, light molasses, moderate char bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium to light with a slight chalkiness. Overall, this is quite nice.

Fatter Gary Rye Barrel Aged from East End. 16 fl oz can from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA, 09/05/23. $5.00 (Including tax) - $0.313/fl oz. Reviewed 07/07/23 (Review 3135). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Undated can. In reefer at store. Stored at 34 degrees at home. Served at 53.2 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 61.7 degrees F.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Medium Amber (SRM 12), clear.
Body – Brown (SRM 20), opaque. Under direct light, same but with precipitate. When rear lite, same but some light penetrates at the edges – arylide yellow.
Head: Average (Maximum 3.9 cm, aggressive center pour), wheat, high density, quickly diminishing to a 0.3 – 1.0 cm undulating crown with a complete cap.
Lacing – Poor – Just a couple of arches of tiny bubbles.
Aroma – 4 –When the top is popped, rye barrel aroma, but this quickly fades, leaving just a weak oak aroma followed by ghosts of roasted malt. No yeast, no hops. No ethanol (7.1 % ABV according to the label).
Flavor – 3.75 – Slight oakiness and moderate roasted malt. No yeast, no hops flavor – just some hop bitterness. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. No gastric warming.
Palate – 4 – Medium; creamy; soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Other than the initial aroma, the rye barrels don’t make it past the initial opening, at least not in any substantial presence, although they do hang out in the aftertaste. In general, this is a basic brown ale wearing a rye barrel, very loosely.
