On tap at The Winking Judge in Hamilton,ON- Pale sparkling gold with a frothy white cap. Good creamy lace. The aroma is fruity and lightly laced with grass and malts with herbal nuances. Tastes like sweet malty candy with good fruit and hops bitterness towards the end. Hay and lemon dominate the finish. This is very light and also quite drinkable and refreshing. Well crafted.

I'll confess to not being a particular fan of light beers (but tuned in enough to properly praise a light beer if it deserves it).

This beer presents well, with a moderate head and good lacing. Clear golden colour.

After that I find it somewhat lacking. I've enjoyed Robert Simpson's other offering, but this one doesn't hold the same interest for me. Smells good, typical macro style in taste, too thin-bodied. Clean drinking, so its possible to put away more than a few.

On tap at the brewery

A clear deep gold colored lager with a decent 2 finger tight pored cap that lasts and laces.

Aromas of fresh biscuits and a floral-citrus tone from the Yakima valley hops

Lovely smooth feel in the front with ample carapils malts to chew on, nice balance with the herbal-citrusy hops ...finishes clean with a biscuity snap and a nice hop bite.

A very staple lager of the old pre-prohibition Canadian style. When fresh this is far better drinking than Creemore...clean premium malts, Brighter PacNW hops, softer water and the mineral content make it less harsh more smooth finish...this is much like a smooth malty steam beer.
