WE COME IN INTENSE PEACE. Meep Morp is the peaceful greeting of the hop-hybrids sharing their alpha-advanced cryo-charged civilization with our water-rich planet. Exuanot-cryo, Idaho 7, El Dorado, Citra, Mosaic and incognito impart the glow of luscious fruit, add brief pulsars of sappy herb, & send bright citrus bursts illuminating our evergreen earth with this succulent golden creation. Meep Morp. Friends - thank you for teaching us about our own humanity. 40 IBU

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from my favourite LCBO at The Roundhouse Centre in nearby Windsor. My third beer from the Barrie, ON brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO, included in a Flying Monkeys IPA mix pack. Dated Nov 7 2023 and served slightly chilled. Billed as a "High-Density Hop-Charge IPA", which is some top notch marketing gobbledegook, I tell you what.

Pours relatively clear, with some sandy sediment clouding its complexion somewhat. Its golden yellow-hued body is capped off with more than an inch of soapy, foamy white suds that lasts for the better part of five minutes, steadily whittled down to a frothy collar and cap. Nice lacing, too - looks righteous so far. The aroma is varied - perfumedly floral, with hints of pine needles and bubble gum, but there's also plenty of fruity characteristics, e.g. I'm getting papaya, grapefruit, orange, nectarine and pear.

Interesting flavour that starts out sweet, like Pez candy or bubble gum. Next up are stone fruit, grapefruit, orange peel and bruised red apples, with honeydew melon and a very mild pineyness developing on the back end. Fruity aftertaste of berries, lime zest and melon that fades to a faint resiny, floral note. Medium-light in body, with average carbonation that adds some crispness to this brew's smooth, soft, slightly slick mouthfeel. No sign whatsoever of the 6.7% - this pale ale drinks more like something in the 5.5-6.0% range.

Final Grade: 3.9, a B+. With no less than six hop (and/or concentrated hop products) used in its production, Meep Morp nearly lives up to its high-density hop charge description. It's really hop forward, but its bitterness is kept very much in check, with fruity-sweet flavours tending to dominate its profile. I wouldn't say that this is an outstanding IPA by Flying Monkeys standards, but I do think it would be dangerously drinkable if sold as a single.

473 mL can
Served in a pokal glass

This beer pours a golden hue with a slight haze. It is topped with a couple inches of off-white head that leaves decent lacing.

It has an initial sweet aroma with a tropic fruit tone. Then I get some grapefruit.

The taste follows the smell. It starts out a little on the sweet side. Then grapefruit enters the picture. The finish is light without much in the way of lingering bitterness.

Thinner bodied with a slightly watery mouthfeel

Light, easy drinking IPA for a 6.7%er

Aroma is complex citrus hops and a kind of funky/slightly perfumed quality. The flavor is fruit/tropical fruit, malts and a mildly sweet/grapefruit/complex funky hop finish.
