A bright and refreshing lager that's perfect for any occasion. Subtle hop aromas and a lightly malted body create a perfectly balanced, super crisp beer. An easy-drinking brew for easy-goin' days.

Pale straw colour, high carbonation. Corn listed as an ingredient.
There are pleasant tastes and smells that remind me of Belgian yeast, lemon, baked bread, and apple. Bitterness and sweetness are held in perfect balance. No cheap, corny flavours, nothing offensive… the only downside is its so light it tastes of very little at all. This is a beer that risks going completely unnoticed when paired with just about anything.
Still, as another reviewer stated, Easy Going is a competently made light lager. The brewer has clearly achieved what it set out to do, and the end result is quite pleasant.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned, from Nickel Brook's Chill Pack, from my favourite LCBO at The Roundhouse Centre in nearby Windsor. My fourth beer from the Burlington brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Feb 9 2024 and served slightly chilled. This may be a completely new beer, but could also be a tweaked version of No Bad Daze, NB's previous "core" pale lager (which also used the "hang loose" hand sign on its label). Easy Going Lager is a teensy bit lower in abv, listed at 4.1%.
Pours a relatively clear pale straw yellow, kicking up one finger of foamy, fizzy white head that sizzles off within two minutes, tops. A thin collar survives, surrounding some faint wisps on the surface; no lace deposition, either. It smells of grainy malts, grain husk and plain Cheerios, with maybe a hint of grassiness.
It's not bad, and the flavours compare favourably to my notes for No Bad Daze. Clean grainy pale malts for the most part, backed by hints of sourdough and apple skin; maybe some faint grassy hops and lemon at the finish, followed by a dry-ish aftertaste. Light in body, with fine-bubbled carbonation that feels crisp on the surface of the tongue. Entirely forgettable, but undoubtedly refreshing, giving it some utility as a summertime session lager.
Final Grade: 3.59, a serviceable B grade. Nickel Brook's Easy Going Lager is an improvement over No Bad Daze, in that it tastes much more like I'd expect a light American lager to taste. The downside, of course, is that it tastes like a generic light American lager. Sorry, that's snobby of me to say - in all fairness, this is a competently brewed lager and the price isn't bad (vs. comparable competitors). It's still average though, and there are plenty of other lagers I'd rather be drinking. Try it and decide for yourself.
