Delicious, refreshing, and effortlessly smooth, Soccer Mom - Wheat is your go-to beer for those sunny spring and summer days. Crafted in a Belgian Witbier style, it boasts subtle hints of orange zest and a touch of spice, delivering a citrusy kick with every sip. Its light, hazy body and crisp finish make it as easy-drinking as the name suggests. Perfect for patios, picnics, or post-game celebrations, Soccer Mom - Wheat pairs wonderfully with good times and, of course, a fresh orange slice.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Jun 4 2025 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy pale yellow colour, generating one finger of soapy, foamy white head that melts off over the next three or four minutes. Lace deposition is sparse, with a narrow collar left surrounding an otherwise barren surface; looks alright so far. Orange peel and wheaty, grainy malts on the nose, as well as hints of coriander, apples and peppery spiciness.
It's a decent witbier; I'm getting orange peel early on, along with grainy malts and wheaty sweetness. Hints of sweet apple come through mid-sip, with a spicy conclusion that features coriander, pepper and clove dissipating into a wheaty, spicy, mildly citrusy aftertaste that lingers for a few moments. Fairly light-bodied, with middling carbonation that lends a soft bite to this brew's smooth mouthfeel. Easy enough to gulp back, and pretty refreshing - I could see this hitting the spot just fine, sitting by a lake in the summer.

Another tallboy, dated Mar 2 2026 which makes this quite a bit fresher than last time. Excellent lace deposition, with a spicy, citrusy aroma. Soccer Mom is a respectable Belgian-style white ale without any major surprises, though the grains of paradise do add a slightly peppery note to the profile that I enjoyed. I'd also appreciate a little more carbonation for this style, but I can live without it. It's good, but I wouldn't say it's great - if you've got a buddy who likes Blue Moon or Shock Top, offer them one of these to broaden their horizons.
Final Grade: 3.74, a B

473 ml can served cold into a weizen glass. LCBO purchase for around $3.75 CDN. Canned June 24, 2025.
Appearance – Lightly filtered mostly clear golden brew. Small half finger of head that dissipates quickly.
Smell – Orange with a touch of clove and coriander and wheat malt backbone. Orange and wheat are the most prominent here.
Taste – Fairly sweet with some orange a touch of bubblegum and a small pinch of lemon. Some additional spices with coriander. Sweeter than expected.
Mouthfeel – Medium-light body with crisp carbonation.
Overall – Decent witbier, but nothing to stand out. Feel like it’s lacking a bit of depth. Still a solid summer beer.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. My eighth beer from the Burlington, Ontario brewery, and first for 2025.
