First had: on tap at Iron Abbey, Horsham, PA

Bronzed amber pour, with a small wispy head, that quickly receded to a ringlet of tiny bubbles, leaving no lacing on the glass. Aroma was fairly muted, with some notes of applesauce. Flavor was a bit unpleasant, overripe and almost rotten apples take the foreground, lesser notes of bready malts, toasted grains, a touch of cidery spice. Body was light-medium, and the carbonation was low. Not my thing, and I wouldn't recommend it.
PS - There are other apple beers that I like, so it's not a mere anti-apple rating.

On tap at Capones the other night.

The beer pours a golden amber color with fairly good head retention and lacing. On the nose, I get considerable fruit, showing up as sweet pear, apple, blueberry and grape. There's some underlying citrus as well, but this beer is pretty fruit forward and sweet smelling on the nose. The beer is even sweeter on the palate, and was just a bit much I thought. There's some bitterness at the very end, but the sweetness really dominates in this beer (and is ultimately too much for me). There really isn't a sufficient amount of bitterness to counter all the sweet fruit in this beer. Mouthfeel is medium bodied to full, with a long, fruit and lightly bitter finish. Alcohol is thankfully well integrated into the flavor profile; I'm not picking up any heat on the finish.

An interesting beer, but just not my cup of tea.

What I like most was that the aroma smelled almost like a candied apple.
The beer had a golden color and a taller head pocketed and loosening as it fades with a fair amout of lacing. Aroma is like candied apples. Other characteristic are tangy funky and cloying.
A good tasting beer with sutle malt flavors fruity esters and a low diaceyl. Pretty sweet.
Drinks smooth dry and semi bitter. A good beer with desent flavor.

This poured out as a hazy cider-like amber color. The beer has no head or lacing. Really boring looking. The smell of the beer is loaded wih spicy apple aromas, it's also sweet. The taste of the beer is sweet and spicy. It's basically a blend of apple cider and beer. It's interesting. The mouthfeel is a little flat, I can't really get into this one too much. Overall it's ok, nothing too special.
