A - Cloudy dark auburn with a big head. Lots of lacingat the top, unfortunately it didn't follow the beer down the side of the glass.
S - Slightly soapy pine and grapefruit hops. Smells alright, but it isn't very special.
T - Soapy. The hops are powerful, comprising the bulk of the flavor. There is mostly a soapy flavor with a lot of citrus, three kinds - grapefruit, lemon pith and grapefruit pith, and there is a touch of pine. There is a bit of very faint caramel and light malt to round it off a bit. The aftertaste is a powerful soapy and citrus pith bitterness. Very, very bitter.
M - Slightly harsh from the carbonation, frothy and pretty refreshing. It gets better as the carbonation settles a bit but not a lot. It is still a tad harsh and medium bodied. Refreshment is the same.
D - Not too bad. Worth a try. It is a bit too soapy for my tastes. But I think it is the best IPA on the menu. in the past few months.
