From the brewer, "A malty refreshing session beer."
Correct, this beer is a smooth almost cream-like ale feel to it. It is very interesting, it is sweet and not bitter at all. Drinkability is really high. There is no strong aroma but some malt and a little bit of lagerish feel to it.
Beer is light looking, not dark, a slight hint of color to it. Overall an interesting and very sessionable beer.

A - Cloudy sienna brew with a bitof a coffee tint. No head, but tiny flecks of lacing do form as the beer goes down.
S - Stewed apples, faint coffee and light malt. Not a strong aroma and what is there is just okay.
T - A bit of underripe apples, dry light malt that shifts into a bit of a coffee flavor. The aftertaste is of a dry, faint coffee bitterness. I think the beer would be better it is was more bitter.
M - Frothy, a tad harsh and very refreshing.
D - Good, I wouldn't mind having it again. A mild brew, but it has enough flavor to be interesting. Another solid offering from Franklin's.
