Dark brown nearly stout black with a chocolate brown head. Piney orange aroma. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, a hint of alcohol, and pine and citrus orange hop finish. Both some chocolate flair and piney bitterness linger for some time. It's like a piney imperial stout and it's great.

Black "Double IPA" from Franklin's. Beer is black and clear, dark brown really, with a thin broken head, low carbonation minimal lacing.

Aroma is citrusy with some cascade-ish hops.

Beer is medium bodied and not roasty at all really, must be debittered malt. It is sweet mildly on lead off and finishes with a nice bitterness, the mid palate is some cascade / grapefruit hop mix that is pretty pleasant. This is basically an IPA with food coloring added, still a decent beer.
