2013 version served from draft. Clear light ruby color. Sweet smell of dark fruits and candy, hints of malts. Taste is very smooth and balanced, albeit without any exceptional flavors, very similar to the smell with fruits dominating. No signs of booze.
Overall this was an enjoyable Barleywine and I'd definitely try it again.

From the menu's description, "Far from a fairy tale, this English-style barleywine was brewed with 100% Marris Otter barley malt, hopped with East Kent Goldings, boiled for 3 hours, fermented with a classic British ale yeast and aged for over a year. Slay the giant within."
Beer served in a tulip glass, yellow / orange / amber ish with a strong haze, nice white head, lots of lacing, moderate carbonation.
Aroma is sweet, nice yeast fruitiness on the nose.
Beer is medium in body, sweet on the palate up front, nice finish, I enjoyed this beer, it is quite good and I'd have it again.
