Poured from a bomber into a shaker pint, the beer is jet black, and pours smooth and thick, with a foamy, dense, light tan head. Aromas of creamy milk chocolate, subtle bitter roasted coffee, hints of caramel, and toasted grains. Flavors are carrying a little heavier roast quality, with a dark roasted coffee backbone, milk and bittersweet chocolate notes throughout, subtle tangy crème highlights, and some hints of char. Very balanced and drinkable. Smooth, mid-bodied, with a roasted, chocolate and bitter coffee blend in the aftertaste. The finish is smooth and slightly dry, with a tangy sweet linger. Good beer.
