Presentation: 25cl glass sampled at the Brasse-Temps Brewpub in Mons during a recent Brewery Tour and Visit here on Saturday 15th April, 2006.
Appearance: Medium gold with a stiff white head looked a little better than previous offerings but yet again the carbonation was so high it seemed to pop away the head in a short time.
Nose: Lemon Meringue, Lemon Peel, Lemon Washing-Up Liquid, Lemon, more Lemon and even more Lemons ..and a sprightly acidic tone to the back end.
Taste: Bud Lite with Sherbet Lemons and a healthy dose of carbon dioxide to make sure that this one really gets up yer nose.
Mouthfeel: Fizzy in the mouth loads you up with an explosion of yep you guessed it lemons. Soon dies off though. Hard to quote the Mouthfeel at first because it was like drinking Space Dust. Once settled and the head had gone, there was nothing there at all. Bulimia Nervosa strikes beer.
Drinkability: I ended up leaving most of this one. Far too annoying and lemony. Am I paying for this crap!?
Overall: Three beers from the BT-Mons and three misses in a row. Its just going from bad to worse, the Wit-Less Blanche, Amstel Light with cherry drops and now a Lemsip Blonde Ale .gimme me a break, that bottle of Bush Prestige on the Beer Menu is looking very attractive, Im gonna to need a big hitter soon to wipe out the crap deposited by the last three House brews.
This is definitely a Lemon alright.
