Brewed for the GRAM's King Tut exhibit. Bood red ale brewed with herbs, spices, dates and honey. Because hops didn't grow in ancient Egypt, no hops were included in this recipe. Brewed with wheat and biscuit malt to give it a bready character.

This is very complex, I like being challenged, but this is another brew of theirs that is very difficult to describe and identify. Floral, herbal, blackberry, even something savory, but crisp. I just don't know, but I'd like to try it some more and get more familiar with it.

Had this in the taproom at Founders. It is an interesting beer. It has a pleasant smell and reddish/purple color. The flavor reminds me of the feeling I get watching old mummy movies. There are unique flavors. This is not a beer for everyone. I enjoyed one pint, but would not order a second.

The only thing appealing about this beer was the looks. It really smelled and tasted horrible. Average mouthfeel. I am really surprised that Founders is actually serving this beer. It really had a cool idea behind the beer, but it just didnt work. They should have just pour it down the drain.
