Transcribed from Notes of 16/10/06, tasted by a half-pint at the Zerodegree brewpub, Blackheath, SE London.
A: coming in a murky light ruby (or dark orangey pink) hue with but a thin rimmed foam and rather soft carbonation.
S: weizen-type beer based, IMO; the raspberry juice minges quite well with banana-ish yeast esters, with wheat-ish malts lagging behind. Overall pretty crisp and clean on the nose.
T: chewy, berry-flavoured bubble-gum and savoury-sweet yeastiness lead towards slightly popcorn-ish grainy malts and dry-ish hops; more crisp grainy malts as well as bitter-sweetness linger in the end.
M&D: low in carbonation, served at a perfect temp. (just lightly chilled), this light-bodied and feather-lightly-flavoured fruity wheat beer is absolutely soothing and tickling on the palate.
