Mostly clear pale white gold with a pearl white head dying to a thin ring.
This is a little sweeter than the wet hopped saison Fresh Prince I had before it, but still quite balanced, delivering to the palate grassy watermelon, pear, light bretty funk and peppery spice. Additional notes of white grape, hay, straw and even that corn-like pils malt surface quickly after a second and third visit.
The body has an airy bubbly champagne-like carbonation and finishes semi-dry.
Seriously, they are doing fantastic stuff at Thirsty Dog and unfortunately no one seems to know about it but Brew Path sniff tickers who could care less about saison and other American wild ales. My lambic fans need to get out here to the Sour Haus, it's not a poor substitute in the slightest.
