Presentation: On tap.
Appearance: Vaguely hazy with a rich amber hue, thin on the lace though does not dissipate quickly.
Smell: Light spicy nose with hints of malt sweetness.
Taste: Mellow crisp mouthfeel with a mild almost earthy flavour and a balancing hop bitterness flavour to the end. Within the residual sweetness is a figgy/date flavour with a light warming alcohol. Dryish finish to wrap things up.
Notes: Use of dates in this brew add to the complexity ... a great brew to brush the winter chill off.
