Pours less than and inch of foam. Hazy with yeast and floaters. Floral and hoppy aromas. Orangey amber color.
Nice flavor. Bold, floral, lemon zest and a little bitter but not overly. I'm liking this one. I think they did a pretty good job.
Kind of like women, you not too sure what to expect by the looks of the can. Looks ok. Color is kind of cool. 8% ABV can probably give me a good time.
Sure enough it was good and I'm glad i took the risk and brought her.... i mean it home. Nice beer.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From The Roundhouse Centre LCBO in nearby Windsor; my third from Toronto, Ontario's Craft Brand Co., and first from Mikkeller.

Version brewed for Brunswick Bierworks in Toronto and purchased from the LCBO. Misty dark straw colour with hints of peach. Aroma and flavour stone fruit and citrus. A really fine brew.

Pours hazy orange with a crackly, smallish head. Tons of lace clings to the glass. The aroma is of mango, pineapple, apricot, lemon and saltine crackers. The taste follows suit with a diminutive malt profile. The mouthfeel is full bodied with high carbonation. High bitterness and lots of tropical fruit in the everlasting finish.
A really nice NE IPA. Complex and maltier than most. Worth a try.

Looks like grapefruit juice. Taste is similar, very tropical with flavours of grapefruit and other citrus, juicy and bitter. Not usually my thing but give it a try. See if you like it.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Dec 30 2019, brewed at Brunswick Bierworks for the Canadian market and served slightly chilled. Appropriating a 25-year old Simpsons reference for your beer's name? Ooh, you'd better believe THAT'S a paddlin'.
Pours a hazy, translucent golden-yellow colour, graced with nearly an inch of frothy, foamy white head that slowly settles off over the course of the next five minutes or so. It leaves behind an even coat of delicate lace, as well as a creamy, half-cm cap and collar that stick together a long time (much like good waffles do). The aromas are pleasant, albeit somewhat muted, at least for a DIPA - I can detect notes of pineapple, mango, grapefruit and mandarin orange. If I wanted to smell an orange, I'd have taken the orange smelling class.
This is the sort of beer for which I'd consider sucking the tap dry, cutting my gums up pretty bad in the process. Flavours of mango, grapefruit, orange, stone fruit and passion fruit mingle with one another, with hints of cantaloupe, bubblegum and berries also coming through. It remains fruity through to the finish, concluding with more melon, pineapple and mild citrus pithiness into the aftertaste. Leaning towards full-bodied, with modest carbonation that provides a gentle yet much-needed bite to this beer's otherwise smooth, thick, tongue-coating mouthfeel. As much as I liked this beer and had no trouble polishing it off, one serving should be plenty on any given night... between the thick mouthfeel, 8% abv and hop-forward nature, it's more suited for slow-paced sipping vs. gulping.
Final Grade: 4.15, an A-. That's A Paddlin' is like a woman - it looks good, it smells good, and you'd step over your own mother just to get one. It's one of several quality NEIPAs that I would like to compare blind in the near future, because without them, I might go even, uh, more blind. Highly recommended.

Pours with a large head that turns into light lacing. The nose is somewhat underwhelming, with a hint of malt that left me slightly worried.
Luckily the malt is balanced enough in the body to stay in check. Boozy aftertaste.
This is better than expected.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy bright yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and great lacing. Aroma of pineapple, mango and tropical fruit is quite enticing. Taste is also a mix of hoppy floral undertones of pineapple, tropical fruits and mango with some residual sugar notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Solid IIPA with good balance of flavours and residual sugar notes.

Poured into a Teku glass from a 16oz can. Golden in color. Translucent, lightly hazy. White grape skin, apricot, and pineapple very apparent on the nose. Palate follows the nose. Not very bitter for a double ipa, just a brief appearance of hop resin.
I found this beer very interesting. Not at all what I expected of a DIPA. A good entry level DIPA for those just getting into the style.

8.0% ABV NEIPA. With 68IBU's. On Tap at Beertown Oakville. Review from Notes.
Appearance - Super hazy, rich golden color with a finger of loose and frothy white head. Good staying power.
Smell - Fruity and juicy with lots of sweet tropical fruit. Pineapple, melon, lychee and mango in particular. Good aromatics although a touch subdued compared to expectations.
Taste - Juicy and fruity, like a juice box with pineapple and melon leading the way. Booze is super well hidden and surprising sweetness even beyond the initial fruit explosion. Bubblegum or candied fruit sweetness at the close.
Mouthfeel - Thick like a milkshake IPA and nearly devoid of carbonation. Not bad, but not what I expected. Heavy bodied and insufficient bubbles. Easy to drink at first but then a little more challenging.
Overall - Very tasty and aromatic stuff, however the thick feel of the beer, makes this a bit more of a sipper rather than a crushable beer. Still worth a try if you see it, as with a touch more carbonation (and it could be due to the tap lines) this would be even better.
Edit December 23, 2019 - Revisited this as it's also apparently available in cans at the LCBO for $4.25 CDN. Figured to give another one a try to to see if there was a difference, namely if the feel improved at all. No real change, still drinks thick and lacking carbonation and a touch more boozy than I last remember. Still a solid NEIPA, but could probably be improved with just a bit of tweaking.
