Pint can into a snifter. Born on 5/30/19.... so why is this being sold on Halloween of 2020? Purchased at a local quick mart that's often lazy when it comes to keeping fresh products.

The pour is hazy light gold with a huge 3 inch layer of foam, which settles in a minute or so to 1/8" and laces pretty well. Small fruity aroma, some apple, and a bit of spice note that I can't distinguish. Taste is similar, apple tanginess and not much hop bitterness. The feel is watery, not much going on there.

Would expect much better if I got this last year, but even then as a Farmhouse saison, this will never come close to say Tank #7 from Boulevard, which for me is easily the best saison I've found.

Hazy yellow brew with a massive foam-up on first pour. Let it sit a half hour and it's still overly frothy each pour. But lush clouds of slosh in the mouth. There is a bitterish aftertaste. Moderate acidity and it seems to skip over the usual wheaty, pear flavors. It tastes more mineral with a dose of green beans. Just faintly sourish but not unpleasant.

Mikeller really cranks out these endless oddball brews. I guess they should get an "A" for effort. The label is stunning, though. One to peel off for the scrapbook. From the 16 oz can purchased some weeks ago at Barons Market.

16oz can, red wine glass, canned 5/31/19.

Head is off the charts, towering, loose bubbles, white, and a good finger or two remains. The beer is clear pale yellow.

Funky, lemon tea, wild flowers.

Some initial tartness, lemon-like, followed by funky wet blanket some gritty herbal hop and coarse grain.

It’s dry with a light matte finish, a little chalky.

It’s nice to change things up; I haven’t had anything funky for awhile. If you’re looking for a funky, dry saison this is a good choice.
