This beer was very over carbonated for me. Exploded and also volcanoed on me.

Appearance: Pours a clear, pale color with a strong bubbly, yet crisp head. SRM of 7. (3.75)

Aroma: Mild aromas of light bread, pale malts, hints of lemon citrus. Clean and crackery.

Flavor: Flavor follows with more clean pale malt, light bread, subtle lemon with a rather strong yeasty bitterness. Crispy and finishes dry.

Feel: Medium-bodied. Strong yeasty mouthfeel. Strong carbonation. Not a light-bodied beer and holds it's weight. Heavier than I expected.

Compared to Orangeboom Premium Lager 11/20/20: Pours a lighter color with a milder head. Milder aromas/flavors. More pale cracker. Less bread. Crispier, and dryer.

Overall: A rather good light German pilsner as described. Grainy, pale cracker malt with a subtle notes of lemon. But the flavor is not what makes this beer great. The great thing about this beer is the strong yeast, full-body, and feel on the palate. Much better than your average light lager. For 90 calories this one should be the top of the pack in the light beer category.

Picked up a can of this with a bunch of other single cans. I’m kind of hit and miss with Mikkeller San Diego beers, but was still looking forward to this. Their website called this, “German Pils Brewed with Polaris, Saaz and Hallertau Hops. Years before Mikkel started Mikkeller he was a competitive mid-distance runner attending university in the United States. The love of running and an active, balanced lifestyle are some things that have continued to be a part of who Mikkeller is world-wide. Low calories, but most importantly a light crisp taste is sure to be the perfect beer for every day. Running a company, running a race, or simply running your life - this beer will help you 'Run your Town'!”

Poured a medium yellow clear color with five fingers of rocky white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Outstanding watery lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled lemon zest, herbal, grass, Noble hops, corn cereal, floral and hints of mint. Earthier out of the can. Had me really wanting to try it though. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted just as good as the nose. In order got Noble hops, herbal, corn cereal, Saaz, black pepper, floral and hints of mint. (Taste - 4.00)

Light body. Thin texture. Lively carbonation. Clean, crisp finish. Really went down well. (Feel - 5.00)

Man. This was super good. And at 3.2 pct. (and 90 calories for what it’s worth) and only $2.79 for each (and $10 on Mikkeller’s website for a 4-pack) I will be getting many more. (Overall - 4.25)

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that left a thin patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has light to moderate flavors of grassy hops along with underlying hints of bready malts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied, clean and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The smell and taste of this pilsner won't blow you away, but it is very easy to drink and has a nice clean and crisp mouthfeel.

Clear shimmering golden with a tall airy white foam head that drops in bubbly jumps audibly.

The medium crisp body has a prominent white grape sweetness up front that settles into bready Corn Flakes in the middle with lightly biting bitter grasses and toasted sunflower seeds towards the semi-dry finish.

Mikel Lite! An excellent nickname on the bottom of the can. I'm sure it's been a running joke for a while internally or locally, but I love it.
