From the can: Farmhouse style ale aged in oak foudre with raspberry and peach.
Not knowing the raspberry presence, I was surprised to see deep garnet color on the pour. The little head that came died completely within seconds. No lace.
Sweet, almost as if cassis liqueur was added. I don't pick up on any peach but it has elements of Chambord.
While the smell featured the sweetness, the taste draws out a lip-puckering sourness. The combination is most reminiscent of a Berliner Weisse. Again, I'm not getting any peach. There's some tannin bite from the oak barrel aging. Tart aftertaste.
