Copenhagen 26/6 2022. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Black and gold can with Mikkeller's little man with the black hat sitting with a goblet of beer on the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones.
Pours unclear, golden yellow with a huge white head. Stable. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substatial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty, lemonade-ish odor mingling with subtle tart notes. Sweet wheat, oranges and a bit of coriander and cumin.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense wit a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong tart bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and a bit thin. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
A bit generic - and somewhat flat.

Either I got a bad can or this is a surprisingly bad wit from a brewer held usually in high esteem (by others.)
The 3400 ratings on UnTappd average 3.31; so I feel like my opinion is held up.
Iron Throne starts with a really amateurish and flat foam. Smells also are average. Tastes introduce some classic wit flavors, but they are not distinguished. In my mouth, Iron is prickly whereas wits should be soft.
I have not had much from Mikkeller lately and wanted to try their San Diego shop. But, this was not the correct choice.
