Attractive color but minimal head or lacing. This is the most medicinal beer I've ever had, both the smell and the taste were practically identical to some Vick's spray I've used. It got slightly better as it warmed but not much.

Was expecting something much lighter and instead got this gem. Cloudy ruby body with pinkish airy head. Aroma of fruit, wood and yeast. The yeast takes over in the taste, subduing the sweet cherries to the background. Dry and tart finish.

I think 90% of the Spontan series are underrated, phenomenally crafted sours. But this one is just off. Smell is German lager-esque, taste has plenty of oak but it dominates the palate and not in a good way. Doesn't have the same acidic bite as the others in the series, either. Follow -through has more funk like a Geuze as opposed to a typical Kriek. Simply put: just not in the same league as other Belgian lambics in the same price range ($13 for a 500 ml).

Pretty solid sour. Head is a nice white/pink but very short retention. Smell is strong on cherries and a funky/woody note. Taste is a really nice tart sour with some notes of funk. Mouth feel is where I felt this beer was lacking. Really just dies quickly with very little mouth feel. Still, I quite enjoyed it
