22 fl oz bottle sealed with gold pressure cap. The bottle is stamped with a date of 2014; found amongst various other letters and numbers in bottle coding.
poured into SP wine stem.
Appearance: straw gold bodied beer with massive white head that has long lasting head. The head is full of tiny bubbles that make a creamy and fluffy head that sticks to everywhere it touches on the glass.
Smell: Smells fruity and tart. Floral with a hint of perfume and champagne. A mild mineral profile as well. Also getting a distinct aroma of 7up or sprite soda. Smells like this will be an interesting beer in the flavor department.
Taste: Fruity and spicy; white grapes and pear skins with white pepper. Stale bready malts. Also tasting the 7up character from the aroma of the beer. Interesting brett character that is both horsey/farmey, but mostly fruity. Light bitterness in the finish; white grapes and cheap champagne linger on in the finish.
Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. The beer has creamy carbonation and comes across as slightly dry. Very very drinkable.
Overall: This is definitely a brett beer and the brett has taken it over this beer while sitting on the shelf for over a year plus. Cool to occasional find a beer on the shelf like this and it actually aged pretty well despite being in the worst possible conditions sitting on a shelf in a store. If you like crabtree beers this one is a good option to try if you come across a bottle.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber into a Shaker pint glass, there is no "best by" date that I can find.
APPEARANCE: pours a slightly hazy, golden color with four fingers of billowing white head, world class retention, highly carbonated like champagne, significant lacing on the glass.
SMELL: pears, farmhouse funk and bread.
TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially pears, then a farmhouse funk and bread, very dry.
PALATE: light body and highly carbonated.
OVERALL: this is a really good Saison, the 5.2% ABV means you can enjoy more than one, I enjoyed this and would recommend to anyone who enjoys the style.

one of my favorite beers to date from one of the most underrated breweries in our state. yeah i said it, and i mean it too. these guys make some awesome stuff and it gets no love. too bad. more for me. this one is one of their newer ones, and i like it better than any of the fruited ones that have come before it, more wild and funky, and the lower abv is nice too this time of year. darker in color than a remember, moderately amber hued, a little hazy, and nice and bubbly and airy, light looking. a great funk to it, a mix of belgian yeast, very dry, with a funky brett thing thats real farmy, real greely, in a good way. the flavor is driven almost entirely by that weird yeast combination, nothing tastes like this, its awesome. musty but clean at the same time, maybe a little rye spice to compliment, and epic carbonation levels that really make it pop and keep it refreshing for how complex it is. not sure why colorado folks have been so slow to respond to this beer, but its outstanding. dry finish but tons of flavor left on the palate, starchy for a second, belgian, wild, gone. huge fan, ill buy this one again. a great compliment to just about any food out there, but i dug it with some peppery mac and cheese.

Nice looking gold brew.
Smell is of wheat, tartish fruit, and funk.
Taste, yet again from Crabtree, offers very little when it comes to smoothness. The wheat and fruit have a harshness to them that makes this rather difficult to drink. Even the funky notes don't help much.
Light bodied with too much carbonation.
I doubt I will buy another brew from Crabtree.
