Served from the tap in a small nonic glass at the brewpub.
The third voyage sails on, heading into the seasonal offering of the moment, the saison. This stuff pours a partly cloudy sunset russet-amber topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises cracked wheat, light biscuit, flowers, grass, mild orange peel, and a touch of clove. The taste brings in more of the same, a small amount of Belgian yeast filtering in, though it's mostly shouted down by the grassy hops and whatnot. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a solid saison, one that could use some work in the yeast department, but it's pretty drinkable nonetheless.

Had at the Oak Park 7 Generations Beer Fest. While having too many different beers, this one stood out for its unique effort to go with a their restaurant's food. So, this Saison's ingredients seemed to be thoughtfully put together. But for this to compete and offer it regularly, the yeast has to be improved on and kept. Compared to the typical saison, Stockholm's was not working the grains enough to produce the fruity richness that is so hard to make.
However, I went on their website and they seem dedicated to their kitchen and brewhouse... so they may yet succeed at this difficult style.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
